People Feel Familiar
For day 23 of the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge the topic is content that feels familiar. What does that mean? It could be a place or someone you’ve talked with but never met. This is a definition from https://www.quora.com/ Why do some people feel familiar even though you never met them? The Person is SO Nice – that your interaction with them, within seconds, gives off a good vibe that resonates with you. That vibe resonating with you is your mind’s way of saying – this person is someone I should get to know.
The above statement couldn’t be more true with the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge participants! I had already met some of the bloggers from the Ultimate Blog Challenge and when they joined in for this challenge it was like friends meeting up again. I follow so many bloggers and they follow me back but for some they feel like friends I’ve known for some time!
Have you ever had that feeling that people feel familiar even though you haven’t met them? Well let me tell you about a few blogging friends that make me feel that way.
These are my friends I feel like I have met and if we ever do meet, I think we will carry on our conversations just like old friends do! This list is not in any order you are all very special friends to me and terrific bloggers!
Jeanine Byers and I were talking about finding a challenge during off months of the UBC and here we are, hosts of the CCBC! I feel like we have been friends for so long and Jeanine is the sweetest person! Jeanine shares great ideas for color analysis and her mission is to help you celebrate your own style. https://www.coloranalysisforwomenofcolor.com/
Pamela Schmidlin is so awesome! I know Lia and I have already met her somewhere along with her dog pack! Pamela is such a great person and a true dog lover! She shares so many helpful dog tips and since Lia just got her puppy Pamela’s blog is extra helpful. Some day we will all meet up, I just know we will! https://doggonehealthychoices.com/
Alice Elaine and the adventures I go on with her are spectacular! When I’m following her journeys it feels like we are on a real trip together not just an imaginary one. Her photos are something else too! https://alicesgrandadventures.blogspot.com/
Amrita Misra is one of the busiest bloggers I’ve met! Between being an ENT surgeon, a wife and mother she also writes books! I have never met Amrita in person although it seems like I have because I’ve met her the next best way. She interviewed me for one of her blogs! Now I’ve never been into speaking or videos so I was so nervous but I pulled it off! Here is the link to my interview with Amrita https://healthwealthbridge.com/the-martha-review-blogging-journey/ When I first started talking with her before we were “on the air” it was like we had already talked with each other as friends do. Amrita is a super person! https://healthwealthbridge.com
Vidya Tiru is another friend I feel we have already met. The book reviews she shares are so interesting. I don’t read that often anymore but since reading her blogs many of the books have brought back memories and got me back to hitting the books! https://www.ladyinreadwrites.com
Glenda Cates and her son Charlie are a team like Lia and I are. Lia has to meet Charlie in person because it seems like we have already met him and Glenda. I’ve enjoyed the blog challenges that Charlie put together with his mom for homeschooling. He’s getting the blogging bug early! http://www.themommiesreviews.com
People feel familiar even when you haven’t met them but someday I hope to met at least a few of my blogging friends. I have met a few FB friends and when we got together it’s like we had already known each other and we just start talking where we left off on our last post or message. Thank you my blogging friends, I love you all! On a side note can you believe I wrote a blog on Wordless Wednesday without any photos?
What a neat post! And thank you so much for mentioning me, Martha!! I know what you mean about the blogging friendships. And how quickly they feel like people you know really well, even though you have never met. You have always been my favorite thing about the UBC, so I am thrilled to be co-hosting the CCBC with you! And I feel like I know Lia, too, because you share her with us. I really appreciate you, your blog posts, your Lia stories and your friendship! <3
Isn’t it something how people who have never met in person seem like they have Jeanine. You are not that far from us so someday we’ll come knocking on your door! Of course I’ll bring Rich, Alex and Lia.
Virtual friends are just fine! Especially during the pandemic!!!!!!
Yes they are Roy. You have been my virtual friend since I met you in the UBC.
I so agree Martha.Sometime people feel so familiar ,its like you know them from another life time.I loved taking your interview too .It was super fun and the time just flew .
I enjoyed the interview Amrita but was so nervous! But that get me ready to start doing more and making vlogs!
I love this post Martha. I know most of these bloggers as well. I have said it many times, one of the reasons I love writing online is the other writers. Most of them are like family.
Yes indeed we are all family Brenda. You especially I feel like I have already met you, we have so much in common. One day hopefully that will happen, I’d love for you to met Lia also.
What a great blog post.
Thanks Amanda, I consider you a friend that feels so familiar also. I wish we could me in person sometime, I’d love you to meet Lia.
Oh so true Martha! All of you are definitely so familiar.. and I feel like I know you from forever.. Like an extended family we are yet to meet
I am going to be linking this post in my post about familiar things (finally writing it!) ..
I’m so happy I met you, I think through the UBC? Now the CCBC, we have such an awesome “family” I would say Vidya.
