Peek Behind the Scenes of Vehicle Wrapping

WOW the days are dwindling, we’re on Day 28 of the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge. Today’s prompt is perfect to peek behind the scenes of vehicle wrapping which my grandson recently added to his detail shop.

This past spring my 22 year old grandson started an automotive detailing business in Lafayette Indiana and does full inside and outside detailing and I must say he is thorough!

He has always loved working on cars so it’s no wonder he was so excited when he became a small business owner. This is a before picture, an in action picture and the car exterior completed. Look at the difference from before and after!

Zac took a picture of the interior of this car before he started cleaning it up. The inside now looks like showroom quality!

When I saw this picture of a car Zac recently detailed I was amazed, I thought it was a brand new car! Just look at that shine! Just from seeing the vehicles he has completed, I know he is loving his new business.

Vehicle Wrapping

Last week Zac expanded his detailing and added vehicle wrapping! He practiced on his car and while he said it was lots of work, he was satisfied with the overall look.

This is Zac’s car before he started to wrap it.

When you see a wrapped vehicle you don’t realize what all is involved. Zac did a section at a time, laying the vinyl on the car, stretching over the curves and then using a heat gun to seal the vinyl to the body of the car. The vinyl shrinks up and fits the car like a glove!

It’s amazing how the vinyl wrap makes it look like a new vehicle. Look how flawless Zac’s car is.

Section by section Zac tediously applied the wrap, shrunk it with the heat gun and this is what the next stage looked like.

Zac’s first attempt of wrapping a vehicle is complete! He did this to his car first to practice and I think he did an awesome job of wrapping it! You may have heard the saying “follow your dream” well Zac is not only following his dream, he is loving it! Peak behind the scenes of vehicle wrapping was the perfect blog to go with the daily prompt!

  2. Never heard of vehicle wrapping before. Instead, we just repainted mine. This is much better, it seems.

  3. Wow! The way he transformed his car was amazing!! And I love orange, so I think it’s great that he chose that color. It does look brand new. It was nice to see it from start to finish.
