Other Bodies – Book Review
With all the controversy about abortion, this book, Other Bodies is quite an eye opener. Joel Ohman wrote this fictional story about a young woman and her greatest regret. It’s a book that at some points is heartbreaking to read but it’s hard to put it down. As Joel mentions, “the body inside your body is not your body” “To intentionally harm either of the bodies, mother or child, is wrong. Point blank.”
Joel is a Christian, CEO, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, author, angel investor, and serial entrepreneur who loves creating new things, whether books or businesses.
He lives in Tampa, FL with his wife Angela and their three children. He also has a writing companion, Caesar, his slightly overweight Bull Mastiff.
When Hattie realized she was expecting a child and the father had walked out, she opted for abortion. It didn’t take long for her to regret the decision and when the father came back in the picture Hattie was more confused with guilt. It’s a book that is controversial to some but Joel has written an excellent story to make others think about how can one claim to stand for women everywhere while refusing to stand for the little one inside of her.
