Oliver and Jumpy Children’s Stories
Oliver and Jumpy, Stories 13-15
Since I have 2 young great grandchildren, I’m always looking for good stories. Oliver and Jumpy stories are not just children’s stories, but each one teaches the child something in a way that is fun to learn. The main characters are Oliver, a Tomcat and his best friend, Jumpy the Kangaroo. This book has stories 13 through 15 and all three were so fun to read and find a life learning message.
The first story was about Oliver babysitting for the Bear family. While they were playing, baby Bear got lost.
The story tells how they find him and has a happy ending. Your children will be excited to see all the fun things that Oliver does in the story.
The second story was a bit sad, since Stripy lost her baby but she did a good deed when asked. When she helped out with the Pig family’s baby pigs, it brought her happiness.
This story too has a great, happy ending also. The author has a way to get a lesson in with his writings.
The third story was about magic. The Wizard was teaching magic and flying with a magic wand.
The ending of this story impressed me as the author wrote that flying with magic wands only works in Sillandia. This was a great way to let children know you can’t really fly. Werner Stejskal has great messages that he writes in his stories and they hold a child’s interest with all the colorful illustrations by Maycee Ann Reyes. The photos are all taken from his book so you can see how colorful and cheerful they are. I was offered to read this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review and it’s a wonderful series that I enjoyed reading.
