October Friday Story Time by Lia
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a fun summer, I know I did and have been so busy since the July UBC! This is my first October Friday Story Time by Lia and I just want to fill you in on a few VERY IMPORTANT announcements!
First things first, I am now in 1st grade! It seems like I just finished Kindergarten and now I’m back with a new teacher and learning lots of new things already. I like math, reading and science the best. Did you notice my two front teeth are missing? I pulled one out when it got loose enough then the other one was loose but it wouldn’t come out. It was hanging on no matter how hard I tried to pull it out. It looked so funny because it was half out and sideways. Finally mommy and I worked on it and she get it out! Now I have to wait for my big girl teeth to come in. One has started so hopefully I’ll have them both by Christmas.
For the next exciting news…. I turned SIX YEARS OLD on August 23rd, a week after school started! I had a small party at Ma’s house with mommy, Taco and ma on my birthday. My cake was so pretty, look at all the sprinkles on it! Then mommy did a face smash with my cake and the frosting was yummy! See the baby picture of me? That is the frosting from my 1st birthday party and ma sliced it off the cake and froze it! So it’s been in the freezer all that time.
But do you know what else is there? Ma also did that to mommy’s 5th birthday cake and that’s still frozen in time! You know Ma likes to save things but have you ever heard of saving the frosting from a cake in the freezer?
I have been going to Build-a-Bear for my birthday every year since I was one year old. This year I made a huge Pokemon and I got to push the pedal to add the stuffing. Now I have another Build-a-Bear to add to my collection!
The Saturday after my birthday I had another party with my school friends. I like playing Minecraft so that was the theme of my party. I was lucky to have some of my Kindergarten friends in my 1st grade class but it was fun seeing the ones at my party that are new in my class this year. We all had some much fun and I had another delicious cake!
So those are my important announcements for the October Friday Story Time by Lia so far. I have lots more to write about but that will have to wait. Next Thursday mommy and I are flying up to Indiana to see Uncle Zac and Aunt Trinity for her birthday, I’m so excited to go on the airplane again. But don’t worry, I’ll write my next week’s blog before we fly away! Hope everyone has a fun weekend, it’s our annual community garage sale and Lia’s Sunshine Bakery sale for Alzheimer’s tomorrow! Snowball wanted to say hi to everyone, now I’ve got to get ready for school!
Lia, even though I know you’re in 1st grade I am having a hard time grasping how quickly you’re growing up!
Looks like you had a fantastic birthday 🎉
I have never heard of someone freezing birthday cake frosting 🧁
Good luck for the garage sale, I am sure there’ll be lots of yummy treats you and Ma were baking!
Lia says, thank you Tamara and yes she’s growing up so fast, sometimes too fast!
Hi, Lia! Happy Birthday!! I know I’m late but I hope it was a wonderful day. The cake looks yummy. And how exciting to be starting 1st grade. Hope you get your two front teeth for Christmas.
Thank you Jeanine from Lia! One tooth is almost in but no other of the second one. Hopefully Santa will bring it. LOL
How fast Lia grows and what a joy she is. Six and in grade 1. I still have memories of my grade 1.
I can also remember my 1st grade too Liky, it was in a one room school house like Little House on the Prairie. One side was 1st grade, the other side was 2nd.
Martha and Lia, wow! A fresh birthday and first grade as well! Congratulations! And I love the Pokemon! I know the bake sale will go brilliantly and this will be a power year for you! <3
Thanks Kebba from Lia and me. She is growing up so fast but I love her ambition in life. Hugs and love from both of us.
Wow! This seems like so much fun! I love
going to Build-a-Bear! Love hearing your stories!
Lia says thank you Julie. Build a Bear is a birthday favorite of hers.
Oh wow! What a lot of adventures you’ve had, Lia! Have fun on your trip to Indiana!
Lia says, I’m excited to go on an airplane again Alice! I’m so excited to see Uncle Zac too.
Hi Lia and Martha,
I’m so happy to hear this update. It is so amazing that your ma saved the frosting to use on future birthday cakes.
Have a wonderful trip to see you aunt. As always, I enjoy your weekly posts.
Thanks Cheryl, Lia was so excited to go on an airplane again!
