Nativity Scene for Wordless Wednesday

A beautiful Christmas tree and Nativity scene for Wordless Wednesday,

The custom of displaying figures honoring the birth of Jesus in the Christmas Manger or Nativity Scene originated on Christmas Eve in the year of 1223 by St. Francis of Assisi. In our Catholic church we bless the manger at the Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve. The manger at our church is set up already, waiting for baby Jesus to be added on Christmas day. I thought today being Wordless Wednesday was perfect to share these beautiful photos I took with my Google Pixel 2 XL phone.

Merry Christmas to my Christian friends! Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends!

Merry Christmas! I have a nativity scene too. My grandma got it for me years ago. It’s something I treasure very much since she passed away over a year ago.
