National Vanilla Cupcake Day
It’s Friday Story Time by Lia and once again Ma and I found the perfect National Day. It was National Vanilla Cupcake Day yesterday and of course I couldn’t let the day go by without baking cupcakes!
I found the cutest liners with balloons on them for our mini cupcakes. For the regular sized cupcakes I used a pink and green print liner. After filling all the cupcake liners, there was still a little batter left and since it was too much for ma and me to lick the bowl I made a huge cupcake in my little round cake pan that my Aunt Nancy gave me a few years ago.
The cupcakes are done baking and now they are cooling. Do you see the big long needle looking thing next to the cupcakes?
That’s a meat injector that Ma uses to add cheese to the inside of chicken before she cooks it. But it’s also good to fill cake!
We filled some of the cupcakes with whipped cream and others with blueberry jelly. They were so delicious!
Of course I had to add sprinkles to my cupcakes. I sprinkled a few with cinnamon before adding the gold sprinkles and for the other cupcakes I used gold, blue and white sprinkles. Did you see my giant cupcake frosted to look like a flower?
The cupcakes for National Vanilla Cupcake Day were done mixing, baking and decorating. There was only one thing left to do….TASTE THEM!! They were delicious! Did you do any baking for Cupcake Day?
I’ll see you next week for another Friday Story Time by Lia, have a fun weekend!
those cupcakes look delish! And I am not sure which one I would have preferred – the whipped cream filling or the jelly one – they both sound yum! And Lia’s sprinkles are perfect
Lia always needs her sprinkles as a finishing touch Vidya! I prefer the jelly, the whipped cream sorta melted away in the cupcake but was delicious!
Lia,
Those little cupcakes look so yum! They are decorated nicely too.
You know I love decorating with sprinkles Amanda! They were real good!
