National Playground Day
Since today is National Take your Parents to the Playground Day I thought it would be fun to share a Playground Day with you.
The other day I took my GGmama and papa to a beautiful playground. It didn’t have swings or climbing bars but it had long wooden walks over the marsh and when we got to the end there was a little secret playhouse along the water’s edge.
The playhouse was filled with beautiful trees, some of them covered with seashells. These were called wishing trees where you make a wish and hang up a shell.
I scurried along the playground water edge with mama and found some perfect shells with holes in them so I could hang them on the wishing trees.
While looking for shells I found a stick like Papa’s cane and was walking with it. But I wasn’t alone! I looked on the shell path and saw someone else walking with me…..it was my shadow! How fun to have my shadow to enjoy the playground with!
Papa and I sat and rested while looking for more shells, watching the water and waving to the boats as they floated passed us.
As we continued playing on nature’s playground, we walked over some tricky paths filled with tree roots so I had to balance myself and help papa so we wouldn’t fall. Papa thought I might get tired of walking so he brought my stroller. That was funny, ME GET TIRED!!!! We walked down the path, looking at all the shells, rocks and I even found some colorful leaves.
There was a little bench at the end of one path and it was perfect to stop and relax for a few minutes, we listened to the birds and even saw a squirrel. I love spending time with papa and mama, we had so much fun in the nature playground and I learn about different things.
As we left the playground that nature built, I was feeling so happy, I ran all the way down one of the wooden walkways. Walking back to the truck I held Papa’s hand and told him what a fun time I had and I could see he had fun too.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my playground day and did you notice I even had my Playground Princess shirt on??
You may not be able to take your parents to the playground today and play on the swings or slide but just look outside at nature’s playground and take them for a walk and see what kind of fun playground you can find!
Thanks for visiting Lia’s Likings the Baby Blogger, hope to see you again!
Hi Lia, GGMama and GGPapa! Looks like you guys had so much fun. I loved your little outfit. 🙂
Hi Amanda from all of us! We had a wonderful day exploring the playground and we are able to teach Lia about nature. She had such a fun time and tired us out but would do it again in a heartbeat!
