National Innergize Day

It’s Friday Story Time by Lia once again but it’s also National Innergize Day! What is that??? Well Ma helped me with this topic because she loves to check the National Days and come up with blogs on interesting days. Some calendars say it’s the 23rd, others say it’s the 24th but I’m saying it’s today because I’ll be needing time to relax!

Yesterday, September 22nd, was the autumn equinox which is the beginning of autumn. This lasts until the winter solstice which is on December 21st. That’s also the Longest Day of the Darkest Night for the winter Alzheimer’s Fundraiser for 2023! Okay, back to the National Innergize Day… Innergize Day is observed the day after the Autumn Equinox. It’s a day to relax and rejuvenate yourself.

So today that’s what I’m planning on doing! After school today mommy, pop, ma and me are taking an adventure trip to Maine! My Aunt Nancy lives in Augusta and we will be visiting her for a week!

It’s a long drive so I’ll have plenty of time to relax and rest up for a fun filled week of sight-seeing, hiking, and hopefully seeing some Loons! Pop loves Loons and there are lots of them in Maine.

We will be staying at Lakeside Lodge and Marina, right on the edge of the lake! We can walk right out our door and see the lake, maybe take a canoe or boat ride and do some fishing or bird and loon watching.

So I bet you can figure out what my next week’s Friday Story Time by Lia will be about. If you guessed it would be about my trip to Maine, you are right! I’m excited to go on another trip like when we went to Schenectady, New York the end of July. This will be like a field trip that we go on at school but it will be a long field trip! I’ll be back next week to share my exciting trip to see my Aunt Nancy again and visit Maine for the first time.

Do you have plans for resting and relazing on National Innergize Day? Make sure you take time to relax and rejuvenate!

Enjoy your trip. I can’t wait to hear all about it.

  2. Even though I am late, my husband I enjoyed a relaxing day taking naps, reading and he listened to the football game.
