National Best Friends Day
Hi, it’s Lia again but don’t get worried and think today is Friday Story Time by Lia, it’s only Tuesday. I’m stealing the show again and giving Ma a day off from blogging because I want to tell you about my two special little best friends since It’s National Best Friends Day! I have been friends with Layla and Carlos all my life!
Layla
First let me give you a little background on Layla’s mommy and my mommy. They met each other when they were about 7 years old and have been friends ever since! This first picture is when mommy and Breann were about 8 or 9 with mommy’s little sister, the other picture is all of us at the Pumpkin Patch in 2019. Throughout the years they each moved but never forgot about each other. When mommy moved back to South Carolina she was about 20 years old, they reconnected and were still best friends.
Mommy and Ma went to Layla’s baby shower so actually we were both there too but in our mommies tummies! Layla was born in June 2018 and I was born in August 2018! How cool is that to have mommy and her friend both have little girls a few months apart!
I got to met Layla on our first playdate when I was about 7 months old. It was fun having a little friend my size and mommy and Layla’s mom got to catch up on things from the prior years.
This is at Layla’s 1st birthday party! We had such a fun day and it was exciting for the two mommies to get together again also!
Then a few months later, I had my 1st birthday party and Layla was there too! We have been friends for a years at our 1 year birthday parties!
The next year went by quick but because of COVID I didn’t get to see my friend Layla often. But on her 2nd birthday I went to her party! Mommy said it’s fun to watch us grow up together.
Look at my 2nd birthday party, Layla was there too! I had a butterfly themed party and I’m not sure where my sock went but the middle picture was taken as my party was over and did we have fun! My cake was delicious and see the little boy next to Layla? That’s Carlos, my other best friend I will introduce to you in a bit. He’s jumping on the bouncy bounce too! Layla, Carlos and I all have a great time playing together.
Now Layla and I are almost turning 3 years old, her party will be a a few weeks and mine will be in August. A few months ago we had a play date at Get Air and had fun jumping and bouncing. As Layla and I were taking a break, we chatted about all the fun we had. We were super excited when Get Air contacted our mommies asking if they could use our picture on their Facebook page! I’m exciting to get to see her again in a few weeks! But I also have another best friend who I’ve known since his first birthday in December 2018.
Carlos
Carlos lives across the street from me and I met him for the first time when I was 4 months old at his 1st birthday party. We have been friends since then.
Since Carlos has a December birthday even Santa Claus was at his 1st birthday party! Of course I was so young I don’t remember much about the party but I do know Carlos and I became special friends on his 1st birthday.
We got together again for his 2nd birthday and had a fun day playing on his slide and with his toys.
Since Carlos and I just live across the street we would get together often to play. We even made cookies together and watched as they baked. One of Carlos’s first words he said when visiting was, “Hi pop!”
When I went over to Carlos’s for his 3rd birthday party I realized we have been friends for three years! We have so much fun together and in a few months I’ll be celebrating my 3rd birthday with Carlos and Layla!
The past year has been hard for us because of COVID and I wasn’t able to play with my best friends. Hopefully we will be getting back to normal soon so we can have our fun play dates again!
Since it’s National Best Friends Day I thought it was the perfect day to introduce you all to my two best little friends Layla, Carlos. We have been friends forever and hope it continues like Layla’s and my mommy’s has for over 20 years.
AWWWW so sweet!! I suppose the Pandemic kept these little ones apart-but not forever.
It was hard for Carlos and Lia especially since they could see each other in the yard but couldn’t figure out why they couldn’t go play Kate. I think COVID was super hard for little ones and elderly.
Cute photos of the three toddlers.
Thanks Roy, they are best friends forever.
Hi Lia and Martha, Loving all the beautiful smiles! What a great life to be able to grow up with your best friends. I am glad you are now able to see one another, that year from each other will be a time you will never forget. Absence makes the heart grow fonder <3 How exciting you all are coming up on your 3rd year as besties, cheers to many more!!! Thank you for sharing your best friends and stealing the show, again. Sending lots of love and gratitude :D. Jaime
These three are so happy when they are able to be with each other Jaime. The COVID year was the hardest and longest for them not to be able to be together. Looking forward to their 3rd bday parties!
You have two wonderful best friends. Happy Best Friend Day!
