My Special Numbers
My Special Numbers
Today’s date is 7-13 (not adding the year) and it’s a prime number which means it cannot be divided by any number other than itself and 1. No I’m not a math geek but the host of the Ultimate Blog Challenge is and his blog suggestion is to Write a post today about a number. I thought, “This is perfect since BOTH 7 and 13 are my special numbers!”
As quick get-away from time to time, hubby and I enjoy taking a drive to Cherokee and of course I always seem to gravitate to “7 machines”. There are a few special 7 machines that have always given us lots of sevens. You might want to check out this blog I wrote about my lucky 7’s: http://themarthareview.com/wordless-wednesday-winner/
My other lucky number is 13. I’m not sure why, it has no special meaning but maybe it’s because many people considerate it unlucky and I like to think positive. I was mentioning my blog topic to my 22-year-old granddaughter (who has four weeks to go until we get to meet our 5th great grand baby) and she thinks the 13 means that’s how many great-grandchildren we will have! That’s definitely a possibility since only three of our grandchildren have children so far. If the four grandchildren that haven’t started families yet each have two children, that would be our 13 great grand children! LOL
Do you have a special number that means something to you or that is lucky?

7 would be a lucky number with 7 grandchildren and your blessed to have all of them and to see them. I wish I could say David and I have a relationship with his grandkids but most of them we don’t have. Although Prayer can change things so I just keep praying it changes in the future. As for 13 I know people think it is unlucky but it isn’t its just in there minds and to me its a fun number and if you have 13 great grandchildren I think that would be a blessing.
We are so blessed to have 7 grandchildren Glenda, but I know the feeling you are going through about not being with all your grandchildren. About 10 years ago the parents of our three youngest grandchildren took them away because the “loved us” too much. A few years later we were “allowed” to see them again but it backfired on the parents and now the two oldest ones don’t see their parents due to parental abuse but we have taken on both the parental and grandparent role and very proud of how the two have excelled in everything, they walk the right path and don’t look back. Praying that your grandchildren will be back in your lives, but don’t forget, they will always be in your heart. No one can take that away.
I think 13 is lucky too!
I’m not superstitious of anything Meryl! Maybe we both will have luck with lucky 13!
