My Helicopter Ride
This is a super exciting Friday Story Time by Lia, I had such a fun surprise the other day! Ma and pop know how much I love airplanes, ospreys and helicopters so they took mommy and me to the airport. At first I thought we were just going to look at the planes but that quickly changed. I went on a helicopter ride with mommy and ma!
I’ve flown in airplanes before but this is the first time I’ve been in a helicopter or even close to one! The pilot was waiting for us to come out and the lady buckled me in and put my headset on. Then mommy got in the back seat with me while ma got in the front seat. We were all buckled in, had our headsets on so we could talk and hear the pilot and ready to fly. I was so excited when the helicopter took off and up we went! There is only room for three passengers so Pop took pictures of us as we went up in the sky.
Once the pilot was way up high, I looked down and could see the houses and the beach! I was so excited and wasn’t scared at all.
The pilot flew over the buildings to the beach and then we were flying right over the ocean! I was watching the boats in the ocean from the helicopter!
WOW I’m flying so high up in the sky and it makes the buildings look so small. The pilot spoke to us through the headsets and told us what part of the beach we were flying by and we even saw the pier going out into the ocean at Cherry Grove.
As our helicopter ride was coming to an end, I could see the airport and runway as the pilot got closer. Soon it was time to land and my fun 10 minute helicopter ride was over. Pop was waiting for us and he took a video of the helicopter landing! I was so excited and happy that I got to ride in a helicopter, now I want to go again on a longer ride!
WOW this was such an exciting surprise and I loved flying in the helicopter! I’m ready to hit the sky again! But I had one more surprise, we went to the ice cream store and we all got ice cream! What a perfect way to end a super day. I hope you had fun reading about my Friday Story Time by Lia and my helicopter ride! I’ll see you next week!
Wow, that sounds like a fun and exciting day. Looks like all of you had lots of fun. They have helicopter rides here over the ocean. I did that once years ago.
