My Favorite Quote
My Favorite Quote
Did you know that when you wake up two months from today, it will be Christmas??? WOW, where is the time going? Okay, this has nothing to do with the Ultimate Blog Challenge topic of the day but when I noticed the date, I thought I would pass this on. Okay, now for the daily suggested topic on day 25, we were given a choice of seven different ones. It was easy for me to pick the last one from the list – My Favorite Quote. I’m sure many of you have a favorite quote and I have used the same one for as long as I can remember.
From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always been one to try anything and being persistent, I would work on something until I figured it out and got it right. When I was teaching sewing in our 4-H group, I would always tell the members that if they didn’t try, they would never know if they could complete their project. This goes with so many things in life, if you sit back and don’t try, you won’t be able to accomplish things. But if you at least try, chances are you can be successful, whether it be in a project, at school or a job.
What is your favorite quote and what does it mean to you?
Mine is – life’s a trip! Enjoy the ride!!
Well you have had quite a ride Nancy! Wait until you read tomorrow’s blog, it’s a trip to remember! LOL Thanks for visiting! <3
I chose two quotations to share in my blog. Both have to do with the garden and with the joy of the garden in the winter and spring, when you least expect radiant colors and life coming from the ground. I chose those quotations because, today, I was busy planting bulbs, which hold with them the promise of spring, which, right now, seems a lifetime away. (comment: there is some sort of advertising that covers your blog and makes it challenging to read and write comments. Is there any way to fix that?)
I just read your blog and your quotes are perfect for your garden! I’ll be looking forward to seeing your photos next spring of the plants peaking out of the earth. Thanks for visiting Alice.
Now that’s a cool thought! I will add that to my repertoire.
My favorites are among my signatures on eMails. I will share but a few here : Eschew Obfuscation (look it up and laugh), Voltaire’s “May you live as long as you want to, and want to as long as you live, and Bobby Kennedy’s “There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why… I dream of things that never were, and ask why not? “
Oh I like Bobby Kennedy’s quote, that’s sorta how I am! I came up with my quote when we first started our business, but it was more of a lake shore. When we moved south, the ocean replaced the lake. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your quotes Roy!
Beautiful curtains! WOW! You really do know how to persist and create something great. I persist and sometimes sink, and barely make it back to shore with nothing to show for my efforts! So I am impressed! 🙂
BUT, at least you tried Marsha! You can’t sink if you try, just try again and you’ll see there is no shore. Thanks for visiting, glad you enjoyed the curtains. These are called “color-blocked” where we took strips of different colors of the fabric, stitched them together to create something totally different.
