My Famous Italian Cookies
It’s another Friday Story Time by Lia and I’m back in South Carolina for another few weeks. The other day I made my famous Italian cookies and Judy came over to help with the sprinkles. But this time mommy and ma came up with some new frosting flavors!

I made the cookie batter and we now put them in the oven but use the Air Fryer mode. The cookies only take 6 minutes to bake instead of 12 minutes on oven mode and they are so soft and fluffy!

I use powdered sugar, a little milk and almond flavoring to made the frosting. I added purple food coloring and some had my sunshine sprinkles and the others had mostly pink sprinkles. Judy loves to come over and bake with me.

But wait until you hear about the other frosting! The ones on the left are chai flavoring sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. I use the powdered sugar but added some of ma’s chai tea syrup and mommy and ma loved them. Then they decided to come up with another flavored frosting. Ma had a bottle of white chocolate raspberry coffee creamer so she had me use that instead of the milk with the powdered sugar. Then I added a little raspberry syrup that she uses for her smoothies and topped them with white chocolate chips. Since ma loves coconut we added some to the last bit of frosting to see how they would taste. I didn’t have any but mommy, ma and Judy loved the two new frosting flavors. When ma went to visit Chris in Virginia last weekend, she took packages of cookies and gave them to some of her and Chris’s Costco friends and they all loved them! My Italian cookies were the biggest hit at all my Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s fundraisers too.
Ma says she likes to be creative so we are going to see what other flavors we can come up with, maybe something special for Christmas time.
I’ll be going back to Indiana next Wednesday but will be back in South Carolina the beginning of August for another visit. Then when I go back home, it will be time for me to start school again.
Thanks for visiting my Friday Story Time by Lia blog, did the cookies make you hungry? See you next week!

Using chai tea syrup for the frosting sounds so yummy! I wonder why your cookies only needed to bake for six minutes?
The chai flavor was delicious and everyone loved the cinnamon flavor. I think only six minutes because the air fryer mode cooks quicker.
