My Decorated Easter Cake

It’s Friday Story Time by Lia again and last week I told you I would share decorated Easter cake, my sugar overload cake!

Since I didn’t have time to bake a cake before we went to Ma and Pop’s on Easter, Ma did the baking and it was all cooled when we get there. As soon as dinner was over I started my decorating!

I made the same type of frosting as my other cake, a slice of melted cream cheese, some powdered sugar and milk. I mixed all the ingredients together and then I added green food coloring since I wanted the frosting to be the color of grass for the bunnies.

I added marshmallow bunnies and chickens around the cake and Ma even found some tiny Peeps! The jelly beans and sprinkles were next.

My Easter cake was so colorful with the Peeps, jelly beans, sprinkles and yes there is even fruity pebbles cereal on the top since there are fruity pebbles in the cake mix also!

Mommy’s Easter Present

Dollar Tree had a kit to make little yarn bunnies so I made two bunnies and then glued on the ears, eyes and nose. I love working with clay and Ma ordered some clay made from little beads that is easy to mold and it isn’t sticky but it’s like molding with marshmallows. I started out by covering a piece of cardboard with green clay for the grass and added two yarn bunnies. I had orange clay so I made little carrots and scattered them on the grass.

Next I painted two popsicle sticks for the signs, Ma wrote Happy Easter on one and I wrote the “I love you mommy. I put peanut butter cups in the eggs since mommy loves those. Now we had to hide it until Easter so mommy wouldn’t find it. Ma found the perfect sized box for that.

Mommy was so surprised with her Easter present! she found the candy she was even more surprised! I had so much fun making mommy’s present and my decorated Easter cake!

Happy Birthday Snowball!

Tomorrow Snowball will be 2 years old! He became a member of our family when he was about 8 weeks old! There were two puppies and as soon as I saw Snowball and he saw me, I know he was the one! Snowball has been my best puppy friend and I love him so much! Happy Birthday Snowball!

I’ll be back next Friday, that will be the day before my Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser bake sale so next week ma and I will be busy baking!
