My Biggest Challenge
I’m ready to get my first weekly topic of the Ultimate Blog Challenge going! This week will be all about challenges and they range from small, baby step challenges to organizational challenges and more.
I love a challenge and I find when I’m doing a project it love to turn it into a challenge. I have it in me that I have to complete it. Maybe the Ultimate Blog Challenge but the bug in me because once I had my first month completed back in 2016 I was determined to get all four challenges for the year completed. I did that but then each year I challenged myself again and again and again. Before I knew, I had completed 28 consecutive challenges by the end of 2022. This is my 30th challenge and hoping there is no end in sight. But now I’m on to my biggest challenge!
Some of you know I love to save my pennies because they turn into dollars. I belong to a few online earning sites but my favorite is SWAGBUCKS. On this site you can do daily tasks, surveys, watch videos, play games, trial offers, download shopping receipts and even earn from shopping. The points earned are then turned into a variety of Gift Cards or PayPal.
A little info about when and how I started into Swagbucks…. Since I was already on a few earning sites, one of the members was talking about Swagbucks and how easy it was to earn points so of course I had to give it a try. I joined in November 2011 and I did a few tasks and surveys but I just wasn’t feeling it as to how Kevin kept mentioning how much he earned. By January I think I had earned maybe $20 worth of gift cards and realized this probably wasn’t for me. I sorta forget about my account by didn’t close it. From my other earning sites I still heard Kevin excitedly say how much he was earning. I decided to check it out again and in June 2012 I put my all into it!
I took it month by month, completing the daily streak each day and getting my monthly bonus each month. Within six months, I was hooked on Swagbucks! I didn’t set a particular goal other than the one on the site but I was earning steady points. If I made 5000 points a month I was happy that was a $50.00 gift card or Paypal. As the months and years went by I upped my personal challenge goal and had fun making points. It’s easy to earn $50.00 to $100.00 a month by spending just a few hours a day on Swagbucks. You can also run the videos in the background when you’re not even on the site.
The Swagbucks Recognition Program has ten different levels depending on the points earned and each level has different benefits. I am on Ruby, level nine which I got when I reached 1,000,000 points. I don’t remember when I hit Ruby but I think it was about two to three years ago. One benefit of reaching Ruby level is receiving 15,000 points which equals $150.00! Earning 1,000,000 points in 9 years equals $10,000.00 worth of gift cards!
You can track how and where you earned your points right on the site and it also shows you how many points needed for the next level. Now are you ready to hear about my biggest challenge??
My Biggest Challenge
The beginning of January 2023 I had accumulated a total of 1,176,877 points. I was joking to my granddaughter that I ONLY needed a little over 800,000 points to reach the top level of Diamond! I told her my goal was to reach that by the time I was 80 years old! I just turned 74 years old last month so I have 6 years to reach my 2,000,000 points for the final level where you receive a bonus of 25,000, equals $250.00. Alexandra did some fast calculations and if I earn 400 points a day that would be 12,000 per month, 144,000 per year. In six years time I could reach the top level!!
So what started out as a joke has now turned into my biggest challenge! In January I earned 10,058 points, February I earned 13,275 and for March I ended with 16, 317! My March points cash out total was $145.00! My total number of points left to earn by the time I’m 80 years old in 2028 is 783,214! I’m not sure if I can keep this up for six years but it sure will be fun to try!
If anyone wants to check out this awesome earning site, here is my link: https://www.swagbucks.com/profile/mamamartha and if you do sign up and have any questions just let me know! Who knows, you may start your own Swagbucks challenge too!
You’re doing great with your long term goals! Keep up the good work! Long term planning is hard for me so I deeply admire anyone who can do that!
This is my biggest challenge ever Alice and hope I can accomplish it!
I am a member of SWAGBUCKS and have been for years. I have done a few surveys and gotten a few gift cards. Maybe I need to look back at it again!
Thanks for sharing!
Dominique
I wish I would have checked my points a few years back Dominique. I could have got my challenge going earlier so it might have been more realistic! But I’m working away on it.
You are an inspiration! I admire your determination and your willingness to take on challenges. It’s clear that you are passionate about saving money and reaching your goals. I’m sure you will be successful in reaching the top level of Diamond on Swagbucks. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
Thanks Julie! I don’t drink but my challenge brings up the song, 100 bottles of beer on the wall, I’ll knock off the points like one bottle of a time in the song. LOL
Martha, the whole idea of these earnings sites was new to me until I read about you using Upside. I did sign up for it, and it looks like I can save some money by clicking a store location and then going there that morning. There is a gas station that sells my gas brand, for example. The grocery stores are brands that are not in Phoenix. But I’m going to keep playing around with this app. Thanks for the fun, and good luck hitting 2 million points on Swagbucks!!
I’m chipping away at the Swagbuck points Kebba! It will be fun to see if I can keep up with this challenge!
wow! that is a cool # of swagbucks earned.. I have been a member for years too but only use it on and off though I like its benefits.. and getting to where you are will take me a few decades at least 🙂
I’ll be having a 6 month update soon Vidya.
I love Swagbucks too. I haven’t earned a lot, but it’s better than nothing.
Even if you get a few points, they add up Amanda.
You will succeed and pass that goal. As for Swagbucks I’ve thought of joining and might if it helps me earn some money and doesn’t talk much time. I need to find a couple sites I can do this with so I can help David out. Our rent has doubled since moving and were struggling which I hate but David doesn’t want me working so I can be home to teach Charlie which is our number one goal always. Especially with him turning 16 in December. Charlie and I could do the sites together.
Swagbucks is a great site to earn with Glenda. Without much time or trouble you can easily nake at least $100 per month.
