My $5.45 CVS Shopping Trip

My $5.45 CVS Shopping Trip

Since my stock pile is getting low I decided it was time to take a trip to CVS.  My total amount of purchases before sales would have been 38.39 but sale prices brought it down to $20.17.  That alone would have been good savings but I went one step farther with a few coupons. After the manufacturer and CVS coupons that totaled $13.00 and the $2.27 for a free item, my total for all my shopping was $4.90.  The added tax of 55 cents made the total of my purchases to $5.45 which I paid with a CVS gift card.  You can read the breakdown of my $5.45 CVS shopping trip below.

Here are my great savings on products for clean clothes, clean dishes and fresh breath!

Palmolive dish soap was on sale for 99 cents and I had four 25 cents off coupons so I was able to get four 10 ounce bottles.

The greatest deal today was on Arm and Hammer laundry detergent. The regular price was $7.79 but it’s on sale this week for $1.97!  That’s a bargain at that price without any coupons but I had two $1.00 off coupons so I snagged two bottles of this. I’m hoping to search for a few more coupons before the end of the week.

My next item was the 1 liter bottle of Listerine on sale for $4.99, regular price $6.49.  I didn’t have any manufacturers coupons but I did have a $2.00 CVS coupon when purchasing $8.00 on select Listerine products.

The other CVS coupon was for a free protein Powerbar, valued at $2.27 and I had to get that!  I also had a coupon for a free Gatorade Fuel bar and a free Snickers but forgot about them until I checked out so I got them after my purchase was rung up.  But that was another savings of $2.78.

So after all the coupons I had for the products, I also had a $3.00 CVS coupon good for any product and a $5.00 Extra Buck.  I love watching the price drop and drop and drop.  Even the cashier was amazed at the total, with tax of $5.45.  I used a gift card I had earned from my online earning sites and I still have $7.05 left for my next trip.  It’s easy to save, but it does take a little time to make sure you have as many coupons you can find for the items you plan to purchase.  I use to get the newspaper but the price wasn’t worth it even for the one day they have coupons so I get all my coupons from coupons.com.  By clicking on this coupon site from the SWAGBUCKS  earning site, I get an additional 10 cents per coupon used that is added to my point total, which equals more cash earned!
