MORE TURTLES
Some of my steady readers may remember about a tiny turtle I found in July. Will there must be something in the air because I found a few more turtles recently during the hurricane.
This is my blog I wrote about The Adventures of Tiny Turtle.

When my hubby was in the back yard a few weeks ago he called me to see a beautiful Box Turtle. We figured he maybe tried to get away from the water in the field behind our house as he was just sitting along the back fence. I got some great photos of him and when I went outside that afternoon, he was gone. But the next day he was back so not sure where he went off to during the day. Mr. Box Turtle hung around the yard for a few days and hopefully he found his way back to his family.
It was only a few days later when we were at our shop and a turtle with a shell covered with what looked like moss was roaming around our parking lot. I don’t know what kind he was but our neighbor from the next shop over thought he was a snapping turtle. Either way, I don’t pick up larger turtles, just the ones like Tiny Turtle. So Mossy Turtle was slowly crawling around the parking lot and tried to make his way up to the sidewalk. It was like he know he wouldn’t be able to get up so he meandered over to the handicap ramp and crawled up that way! As he started heading to the highway, I figured I needed to direct him away from the traffic so I careful get him in a box and moved him to the golf course near the back of our shop. I heard you have to place a turtle in the same direction they were traveling so after I got him out of the box, I made sure he was heading where I thought he should go. He slowly moved along and I’m hoping he too found his family.
My theory is that because of all the wind and rain we had during the hurricane, maybe the turtles get a bit misguided and I haven’t seen them since so I’m hoping both are happily back with their families.

The Box Turtle was my favorite Vidya! I love all kinds of nature and it’s so interesting to watch the turtles move! Thanks for visiting my turtles.
How interesting! I love turtles. Every once in a while we would find a couple traipsing through our backyard. I would make sure they are not getting into the road as well.
I get so upset when I see a turtle crossing the road, holding by breath that he will make it to the other side. They are fun to watch when traipsing around!
Hope they are back with their families too. The turtles are just too cute! Thanks for sharing!
Something about babies and nature, I love them all! Thanks for visiting my turtle families!
