More Changes in the Master Bath
Back in April 2023 I changed our master bath a bit. http://themarthareview.com/changed-the-master-bathroom-again/ I had a three tier metal shelf stand for towels but then updated that to a small dresser that wasn’t being used. Since Rich and I both loved Loons I put a few on display on the dresser top.
I also added navy rugs and I had two heavy navy coated cardboard bins that fit perfectly on the shelf under the drawers. I changed out the shower curtain to burgundy since that was the color of some of our towels. I thought the master bath was looking good.
A few weeks ago I got the itch to de-clutter the wooden shelf, every time I was at the sink it just seemed too cluttered even though I had reduced the amount of unused bottles and items on it. So I went looking through the closet and found a nice wooden and wire basket that was perfect to hold just the right amount of lotions I needed . Then I had a blue porcelain decorative container just sitting on the window ledge so I brought that down. I used the top for a soap dish and the container for my tooth brush holder. I’m so happy with the clutter free sink counter!
BUT, there always seems to be a but in my stories! My daughter was down for a visit last week and as she also does, brings me surprises!
One surprise was this beautiful shower curtain with butterflies. But not just any butterflies, there was a blue one and and yellowish/orange one, both similar to the ones that visited me recently.
The blue butterfly was in Cherokee when we sailed Rich’s memorial canoe down the river and the yellow one was in the back yard a few weeks ago and visited me for almost an hour. I know they were signs from Rich and this shower curtain is perfect with the butterflies.
As for the window ledge where I got my blue container from, I added more Loons and the one with the wooden base is stained glass and looks so pretty at night when the moon shines through the window.
I think I’m finally done making more changes in the master bath. I love the clutter free sink counter but mostly the butterfly shower curtain, that just made the finishing touch. Well there is one more thing, I have a new light fixture to change out from the old one but that will be another day.
You’re daughter brought a perfect gift, Martha, it compliments your bathroom beautifully! And I like the loons on the high shelf.
Like you, I find I need to freshen things periodically – and that’s great for the energy of a space!
Sometimes I just can’t leave well enough alone Nadya. I’m always moving things around. LOL I love this shower curtain and my daughter sure knows how to pick things to “pick” me up!
I love the butterflies and beach theme! 🦋🏖️ The updates look fantastic, and it’s exciting to see how everything is coming together.
Thanks Jasmine! The butterflies are a perfect addition especially since I had interactions with but a blue and yellow butterfly this year.
what a gorgeous space! I love the vibrant colours.
Thanks Barbara, it’s vibrant but see peaceful knowing the meaning of the butterflies.
Your bathroom is absolutely gorgeous and nicely decluttered. I especially love the butterfly shower curtain. I truly love butterflies and seeing this makes me so happy. Great job!
Thanks Alice, little by little I’m getting each room de-cluttered. I never realized how much stuff we had!
