Migration
This blog was hosted by Word Press and the domain name ended in .wordpress.com since it was a free web host. Within a few months, CJ messaged me and explained the difference between a free web host service or one that I could choose my own domain name. The free service usually has pop-up advertisements and limited services. Once you decide to pay for hosting, your domain name would end with a .com or a .net to name a few. One main plus for having your own domain is you have a more professional look to your blog/website since the pop-up ads and advertisements are now gone. So the next stage of my blog was in the works. CJ moved me over to his godaddy domain and my address was now www.TheMarthaReview.com . I was now sharing his server space with other websites hosted on his network. (I told you he was super intelligent) So for a year or so, I had my .com and was sharing CJ server space but now I was ready to move yet again to my own server. Oh my, the way my grandson described the process had me scratching my head. I really had no idea of all the different options, I thought it would be, start a blog and write. Seems like my blog as grown in the past year and I ended up with over 65% of his server space!
Basically it takes all the files you’ve uploaded to your website and move them to your own dedicated server. Since you don’t actually upload photos to your website, you upload them to a server and I have tons of photos! So the code from my blog, the content, the photos, etc. will all be migrated to my own server. Also, with my own server I will be able to set up a special email for my blog. So now I’m on the hunt for picking the perfect email. Maybe Martha@TheMarthaReview.com or Admin@TheMarthaReview.com, as suggested by CJ.
At 67 years old, I never thought I would be having so much fun writing, sharing my stories and reviews plus posting money saving tips and coupon using. I love writing and I’m still learning new things about my blog which shows me that my brain still works at my age!
This is an app that my grandson put together for clean and delicious meals. Check out the awesome lay out of SoRipe

This is another brain child of my grandson, when he’s not working, he’s always giving his time to others and giving back to the community. I am so very proud of CJ, and love him with all my heart. What more can I say!
wowwww! I wanna be like you when I grow up!! 😉
I could have never done this or gone as far as I am without my great, talented and awesome mentor – grandson, CJ. I so enjoy still being able to learn at my old coot age Terry! Thanks for visiting! <3
I love following your blog. I also enjoy writing all about the subjects you do.
Thank you Sandy, sometimes I seem to ramble without anything in particular but I usually write what pops in my head. I am in the process of trying to write more on money saving tips and couponing. Also looking for guest bloggers on that topic. My next mission will be to have a few give-a-ways. Thanks for stopping by!
So proud of my sister! Almost 20 years ago (wow! – was it REALLY that long ago!) I talked her through an “intro to computers” with us each sitting at our computers (in towns 40 miles apart) and talking over the phone.
Each step was mimicked so she did what I did. She was an adept pupil and caught on quickly. My how she’s grown in her knowledge of the digital world! The student has become the master!
Aww, thanks sis! I really had no interest in computers until granddaughter Alex was in kindergarten and knew more than I did on technology! I had a great teacher for basics and love learning as I go. Never would I have thought my blog would be were it is today by grandson CJ pulling out his laptop and saying, “lets make a blog”. Being able to continue to learn is so exciting even at my age and I’m even able to help others with their blogs. I’m paying it forward, thanks to you and CJ.
