Making Gift Tags
Way back when I was young, I remember wrapping gifts and putting little store bought gift tags on each package. As the years went by, the gift tags went by the wayside and I would just write the name of who the gift was for on the wrapping paper. This year as hubby and I were wrapping the Christmas gifts, he asked why we didn’t us the gift tags anymore. Well, probably because now that I’m so frugal I figured I’m saving money. He mentioned how they complete the wrapping and we should use them again. Problem is, it’s a few days before Christmas, I’m done shopping and don’t want to hit the stores again. So my creative mind had a brain storm for making gift tags!
I get so many envelopes filled with return address labels, so many that I stick them in the drawer and never see them again. So I rummaged around and found some labels with Christmas designs on them. The rest was easy.
I took some unlined index cards and cut them in 4 sections, widthwise. Next I cut the little design off the corner of the return label and added that to the index card. I can still use the return address label when I send mail but just without the picture!
That’s it, just add a piece of tape over the label and stick it to the packages! Now I have way to reduce clutter and make hubby happy that we are using gift tags again.
Such cute tags!
Thanks Amanda! It was a great way to use the labels and easy to do!
