Making Brownies with Judy
I’ve had another fun and exciting week and for Friday Story Time by Lia I’m sharing my story about making brownies with Judy. Judy is my neighbor and I love when she comes over to visit with me. Last weekend I asked Judy if she wanted to bake brownies with me and she was so excited because this was the first time she baked them!
We got all the ingredients, the mixer and the baking pan ready then we each put on an apron and washed our hands to begin baking. I was ready to teach Judy how to make brownies!
The first step was to dump the brownie mix in the mixing bowl and Judy carefully emptied it all in the bowl. Then we measured the oil and water and she added both of those to the batter.
I showed Judy how I crack an egg on the edge of the counter then break it in a little bowl to make sure I don’t get any egg shells in the batter. I cracked one egg with Judy eagerly watch then it was her turn. She did great and we didnt’ get any egg shells in the batter! I poured my egg into the batter, then Judy poured her’s in.
Some of you may remember about the new mixer I got and I’m loving it so much! I showed Judy how to turn the dial to the speed needed, it lights up blue when the mixer is plugged in, isn’t it pretty?
All the ingredients are mixed and it’s time to add to the baking pan! Before Judy poured the batter, I sprayed the pan with baking spray so the brownies wouldn’t stick to the pan when the baked.
Now for the fun part! We sprinkled cake batter white chips on top of the brownie batter and I watched as Judy sprinkled them evenly around the top. She learned very quickly!
Mommy knows I love to use sprinkles on just about everything so she found a container of six different colors and shapes of sprinkles! I opened the entire top and poured all the colors out together! Doesn’t this look good!!?? After all the chips and sprinkles were added it was time to bake the brownies.
After a long 28 minutes, our brownies were done! Judy and I were so excited and couldn’t wait to give them a try. Judy loves my brownies but this time she loved making them! She’s ready to go to the store and get the ingredients to make some. I told her if she needed help to just give me a call!
I’m thinking since everyone loves my brownies, I’ll have another “pre-order” donation day for my Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser and just have a variety of decorated brownies! Now that Judy learned how to bake them, she said she would help me make a big batch for my fundraiser!
Judy and I have so much fun together whether she comes over to play in my Princess room with me or I go over to her house and now we’ll have even more fun baking together.
I hope you enjoyed my story about making brownies with Judy, I wonder what my next adventure will be for next week.
What a cute blog post. It looks like Lia and Judy had a great time.
Yes they did Amanda. Lia was like a little teacher!
