Lulu is Back Home in Her Comfy Bed!

Lulu is Back Home in Her Comfy Bed!

Yesterday I posted a very heartbreaking blog about my friend from upstate New York who’s beloved dog Lulu had been lost since Monday morning.   This is the story if you missed it:  Lulu is Lost and Needs to be Found  Today is a new day and a happy day because Lulu is back home in her comfy bed after being out in the cold weather for three days!  She was spotted in a wooded area and since she was afraid, she wouldn’t go to anyone. As soon as her owner got there and Lulu saw her, she laid down waiting for Sue to go over to her.  Sue covered Lulu with her coat and with some of the other searchers, carried Lulu through the mud, water and brush on a stretcher made from a blanket.  Lulu has Addison’s disease and had not had her medication for days.  Considering Lulu was wandering for three days, she was in fairly good health.

She had minor scraps and abrasions, was slightly dehydrated and exhausted but once they got her to the vet who had everything ready for her, they started working on her.  They put her on warming blankets, gave her IV’s and of course her family was right be her side the entire five hours while being worked on.

Once she was stable, it was time for Lulu to go back home for a lot of rest after her ordeal.  She walked out of the animal hospital on her own and once in the car, it looks like she knew she was safe and on her way home. Anyone with pets know they are part of the family and Lulu is definitely loved family member.

What a happy day it is now that Lulu is home resting with her family, both two and four-legged ones. This is a photo before Lulu’s three-day adventure but I’m sure her four-legged family was so excited when Lulu was back with them .

Lulu probably doesn’t know it, but she had so many people searching for her, posting on social sites and praying for her.  The person that found her, actually prayed last night for Lulu to be safe and be found, and when morning came, Lulu was in the lady’s yard!  It’s just my opinion but I think St. Francis helped keep Lulu safe while she was frantically searching for her family and her family was frantically searching for her.

I’m so glad this story had a happy ending and I would like to thank all my friends and bloggers that helped get the word out and now Lulu is back home in her comfy bed.

WELCOME BACK HOME LULU!!

This is a lovely uplifting post Martha. I like happy endings. Our dog used to run away alot. The first few times we got really worried and used to go around the neighborhood looking for him, and we often found him playing with the stray dogs. Then one time he ran away we didn’t know he was missing, each one of us thought that he was with them so we didn’t go looking. Then that evening the door bell rang. And when we went to open the door it was our dog Rex. He learned how to ring the door bell. He just came in as if there was no care in the world and went straight to bed. So after that we stopped going out to search for him when he went missing because he always came back and rang the door bell when he was done meeting up with his mates.

Thanks Sumudu, I’m sure after Lulu got away from the vet tech, she got scared and was just waiting for her “mom and dad” to find her. I so glad there was a happy ending after 4 days in the cold and wet. How hilarious that your Rex would rang the doorbell when he came home! That story made my day, you should write a blog about it! Thanks for visiting.

So many prayers from near and far, I think yours was one of the farthest Wendy! I like to think that everyone that helped in Lulu’s search, whether it be physically out searching the woods, putting up posters and social shares but especially all the prayers that help guide the rescuers to find Lulu. I do believe in the power or prayer. Thanks so much!! <3
