Limerick Smile Poems
Today is National Limerick Day and I’m using that as the suggested topic for today’s Ultimate Blog Challenge. A limerick is a poem with five lines. The first, second, and fifth lines end with rhyming words. The third and fourth lines end with a different rhyming word. I’m calling today my Limerick Smile Poems day!
This is my take on Limerick Smile Poems, hope I’m on the right track.
Cheer someone up with a smile,
even if it lasts for only a while.
As happiness flows,
your heart will know.
A smile can last more than a mile.
There once was a girl with a smile,
she could walk down the road for a mile.
If someone was sad,
she knew what she had.
A bright smile to share with them awhile.
I’m not a poet but like to come up with them now and then. Do you think these fit in as Limerick Smile Poems? You probably already know these poems came to me when thinking about Lia and all the smiles she shares with everyone.
Very cute. your granddaughter is adorable. Thank you for sharing with us.
Put a camera in front of Lia and she’s a little ham Heidi! I thought the pictures went well with the words of the poems.
I’m still smiling just thinking of Lia’s smile. Thank you, Martha!
I’m so glad Victoria, Lia’s smile seems to brighten up so many people! She will change the world someday.
Hi Martha, yes, Lia definitely brings a big smile to the face of everyone who sees her!!! I’ve never met her in person and just thinking about her makes me smile!
For now that’s Lia’s mission Alice, to share her smile with everyone that passes her, whether in person on pictures. Now if everyone could do that, think of how the world would be!
Hi Martha and Lia, YOU ARE A POET! You created such beautiful poems that brought a BIG smile 😀 to my face. Sweet pictures of you and your granddaughter. Looking forward to more of your lovely creations. Thank you for sharing.
Sending lots of love and gratitude,
Jaime
Thanks Jaime, sometimes my brain just goes in overdrive and I think up poems! The pictures of Lia seemed to be perfect for the words! Thanks for visiting once again Jaime!
