Lia’s Twelve Day Countdown – Day 8

Lia is growing so quickly and hasn’t slowed down in anything she does or tries to do. Lia’s twelve day countdown – day 8 is so exciting to relive the weeks before she turned eight months old.

Another exciting month that started out planting our vegetable garden. Lia went to the garden shop with us and helped pick out some plants. After Papa and I planted them Lia was right there to inspect our work. Now all we have to do is wait until they grow!

Lia loves being outdoors. Whether in her swing or wagon, she’s content to sit outside and watch GG papa work in the garden or do yard work. When it’s time to go pick up the mail, she’s ready for a wagon ride.

A few of Lia’s first steps with mommy just holding her hands. Both mommy and Lia were so excited! But now that she’s on the go, she has to check everything out. Lia is wondering why she can’t go outside and help GG papa mow the lawn.

After completing some Minky blankets, Lia the Minky inspector is ready to do her job. She loves how soft the Minky fabric is and you might say she is wrapped up in her work.

Lia’s 1st Easter was so special and exciting. Mommy, daddy and Lia came out to our house for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt! Lia caught on to the idea of finding the eggs real fast! We all had such a great day watching Lia open her baskets and play with the eggs.

I love when the azalea bush in my mom’s memory garden is in full bloom, it not only looks and smells wonderful but it makes a great backdrop for photos. This is the first time Lia stood on her own without any support!

Lia has always shared her smile with everyone and this one is a keeper! She would play peek-a-poo by covering herself up. The laughs and smiles when she popped her head out were so infectious!

When Lia would play, she would take a break and crawl up on GG papa’s lap for a little down time and wake up so happy. Of course other times when she woke up from the bedtime way too early to stay up and play, she would go back to sleep after an early morning bottle. But papa didn’t mind, that’s what his lap is for.

Now that Lia has two teeth she is ready to show them off! She doesn’t like anyone poking around in her mouth but she’ll give a big smile and there they are! The month before Lia turned 8 months old was so exciting and again new adventures.
