Lia’s Terrarium Garden One Week Later
It’s another Friday already, a week since I planted Lia’s Terrarium garden! It was so much fun watching my greens grow each day. Wait until you see Lia’s Terrarium Garden one week later. If you missed my last Friday Story Time by Lia, here is the link so you can see how I started my terrarium. http://themarthareview.com/lias-terrarium/
A quick update from when I planted my terrarium last Wednesday, January 20th. This is what my garden looked like the day I planted it and on Friday, January 22nd the seeds started to sprout already!
Look at my sprouts on Sunday, January 24th, they are about half an inch tall already! But in only two days on Tuesday, January 26th, they grew up past the jar opening! It’s so exciting to watch plants grow, I keep them on the window sill so they can get some sun during the day.
When I was getting my blog ready yesterday Thursday, January 28th, mama helped me measure the sprouts and they are three inches tall! In only one week from when the seeds sprouted they have grown so much! But mama says I’m growing so much too! I’m very gentle when I feel the sprouts, I don’t want to break their tiny stems.
My greens are a blend of edible microgreens and will be great to top pop’s salad with or even use in smoothies. The jar is reusable so I can plant more greens when these are gone. I’m learning so much about organic gardening, microgreens and how to care for them with mama’s help. If you have a little one that loves to learn or maybe even you want to have healthy greens, be sure to visit the Back to the Roots website. They also have #GrowOneGiveOne where if you share a picture, the company will donate a kit to a classroom of your choice! How cool is that! Check out Back to the Roots to see all the other great kits they have!
I hope you enjoy reading Lia’s Likings The Baby Blogger stories and especially about Lia’s Terrarium Garden One Week Later! See you next time with another exciting story.
Pretty impressive sprouting!
I was quite amazed at how quick they sprouted Roy. Lia’s into healthy eating!
I was waiting for this one. I love how she takes such good care of her plants.
Lia is so careful when she touches them Brenda. I told her they are very fragile.
Lia, love your terrarium!! And I am now tempted to grow some microgreens too..
Lia says thank you Vidya. She enjoyed this project, I think we will try one of the other varieties!
It’s so great to see it grow.
It’s still growing Amanda and I use the greens on top of casseroles instead of parsley.
So awesome! She’s a great little gardener!
