Lia’s Strawberry Plants
I’m so excited to share Lia’s Strawberry Plants with you today for my Friday Story Time. Mama found this strawberry kit at the Dollar Store and I’m hoping they grow because I love strawberries!
The first step was to add some water to a dish and drop the pellet in it. As the water soaked into the little pellet, it got bigger and bigger and turned into soil! After the water was all soaked into it I took a fork and fluffed the soil up so it would be easy to add to the pot that came with the kit.
After I put the soil in the pot I flattened it to get ready to add the strawberry seeds.
The seeds were on a seed paper and I carefully put that on top of the soil. The next step was to carefully spray the seed paper with water. I covered the seeds with a small layer of soil and sprayed more water on the soil.
Everything looked good so I covered the pot filled with the soil and seeds with plastic wrap. That made it like a little greenhouse! We put it on the kitchen window sill because that gets lots of sun. Now to wait to see if they will sprout.
My strawberries are next to my Terrarium garden and they both like the sun. Look how my micro-greens have grown!
You may remember when I planted my Terrarium Garden with edible micro-greens, it was so much fun planting and watching them grow. I even tasted them and they were delicious! Mama and I nibble on them often and they keep growing. http://themarthareview.com/lias-terrarium-garden-one-week-later/
