Lia’s Salad Video

There’s a saying, “A day late, a dollar short”, well that’s me today! Yesterday’s suggested blog post was to create a video and share with people an idea. The thought is when people see “video” in the title it get’s their attention. Since Friday was Lia’s day, I’m a day late on my video creation but what until you see Lia’s salad video!

Yesterday afternoon Lia decided she wanted to make a salad. She grabbed a banana from the counter then opened the fridge and started pulling things out. She started with an apple, blueberries, cheese, ham (which ended up being turkey), hardboiled eggs, a few other things that would be good in her salad.

After Lia put a little butter in the bowl, she added her cut up banana and apple, she sliced up two hardboiled eggs for her mix. Next she sliced some ham, although she pulled the turkey package out instead of ham and she realized that when she did a taste test. LOL

For Lia, a salad isn’t a salad unless it has cheese in it! Her salad ingredients are in the bowl, now to add salad dressing.

Did you know that by mixing a salad with your hands that it does a better job than with a spoon. Of course you have to lick you fingers clean when all done!

I have no idea what Lia named her salad creation but she did give it a try. I can’t give her any suggestions when she comes up with her recipes, they are all trial and error! But I love how she gives everything a try!

As a bonus video, Lia also picked her lettuce to make Pop a nice salad. Fresh salad from the Lia’s garden, just the way Pop loves it!

I hope you enjoyed Lia’s Salad videos, I love to capture things she does whether it be in pictures of videos so I can add them to her book of memories.

  5. Martha, how wonderful! Lia’s own food prep videos! Her voice comes across clear, and she is easy to understand. Plus, she is so clear-minded: the eggs can go on top! Get this kid a spot on a cooking show! (No rush though.)

When I listened to her video, it remined me of when I had a 4H group and the kids did dimenstrations on a project. It was a good way to get them prepared for public speaking, Lia’s a big younger but I thought she did super on her first video! I wonder what her next recipe will be Kebba!

It was a bit “different” Amrita but it was all Lia’s idea! I love the fact that she had to add butter, she sees me adding that to just about every thing I cook except salads. LOL It was tasty!
