Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 2
I’m so excited for today’s Friday Story Time by Lia. About 3 weeks ago GGpapa and mama started making a garden in the corner of the backyard. They planted flowers that were growing in other parts of the yard and added some little butterfly decorations, an angel and a water fountain. Mama even found an old bench at the recycling center and papa painted in white. This is my story about Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 2. If you missed the beginning, here’s the link: http://themarthareview.com/lias-reflection-garden/
Well after three weeks you should see the garden now! The first exciting new garden project was papa painted the edges of the white bench pink! That is my favorite color and it looks so pretty by the garden. Look at the difference with just the white paint with the black sides. The pink makes it look so happy!
Mama was looking for rocks to put around the edge but I’m glad she didn’t find any right away. Look at the stepping stones that she got at Dollar Tree! They make my garden look so inviting! We put more mulch down and laid all the stepping stones around the edge of the garden.
To keep the stones in place, mama and papa added some garden edging so that meant the stones had to be moved again. But once the edging was in place and more mulch was added the stepping stones are all neatly in place.
Mommy get some more butterfly and owl garden decorations and the garden is looking so pretty! Mama and I sit on the bench listening to the birds and looking at our beautiful garden. I like to sit on the little stepping stones!
Mama saves everything she finds and she had an old broken rake hanging around. The other day we came up with an idea for it. Papa hung the rake on the fence and we hung a butterfly welcome sign on it!
Yesterday when papa was clearing up more of the yard, he found an old broken shovel. Mama set it in the garden trying to decide what to do with it. My neighbor said to paint it and put my name on it. That is such a cool idea! So you’ll have to come back for my next Reflection Garden blog to see how that is coming along.
Look at my little pink table and chairs set! When I’m able to have my little friend come visit we can have lunch by the garden. When I got to mama and papa’s today I was so surprised to see my pink chairs!
But I had some work to do before I could set and relax. Mama and I painted a sign to put on the fence! Come visit Lia’s Garden Cafe! See it right there?
I love that I have a place to eat lunch or snacks right next to the beautiful garden! What do you think, do you like my garden and Cafe?
I’m sitting here eating a cookie I made with mommy and listening to all the birds singing to me. I hope when people can start visiting they will come see my garden, I even have a butterfly welcome flag!
I have so many beautiful flowers in my garden but my favorite are the roses. Papa talks to the roses and they look so pretty! He surprised me with the pink flower, it matches the bench and my table and chairs!
Everytime I come over to mama and papa’s house we do something more in the garden. I love working in the garden and watching the new flowers bloom. There was even a little frog in the garden the other day! We also had a bird visit the water fountain! I was going to walk right up to him but mommy told me not to get too close. Look how cute he is! We still need to add a few special things to the fence so there will be a chapter 3 soon!
Thanks for visiting Lia’s Reflection Garden Chapter 2, I hope you had fun seeing how we are adding new things and how pretty the garden is turning out. I’m sending smiles and love to everyone!
I’ve had a busy week, I wrote TWO blogs! The one I wrote last Monday was about a beautiful nature playground I went to with GGmama and papa. It just so happened to be National Take your Parents to the Playground Day! This playground didn’t have swings and slides but it had lots of trails going through the woods, wishing trees filled with shells and long wooden walkways over the marsh to the shoreline. I even found a playmate to walk with, my shadow!! A great place to visit and play with nature! http://themarthareview.com/national-playground-day/
Lia is such a little lady. She looks like she is enjoying her cafe. I love your garden .
Lia was so surprised to see her new table and chairs Brenda. She helped paint the sign too! Thanks for stopping by Lia’s Garden Cafe! 🤗
Beautiful Garden and C says he would like to have lunch with you outside one day. He was Gifted a Swimming Pool this weekend from his grandmother as he had been blessing her by mowing her lawn. Perfect way for him to spend these hot SUMMER Days.
I would love to meet C (and you) some day Glenda. He seems like a very caring young man. Wow what a great gift and how helpful he is. Enjoy the refreshing water C!
What a cute little garden!
Thanks, we have already added new things. Lia will need to write her chapter 3 soon. Be on the look out for it Amanda!
