What a busy week I’ve had! Since my GGmama and pop are old my mommy told them they can’t leave their house because of the coronavirus. So I got to stay with them Sunday and Monday to make sure they didn’t sneak out! 🤣 Here is my Friday Story Time about Lia’s Busy Week.

It worked out perfect because my new picnic table needed to be put together and me being the one that loves to help I had it built in no time.

After GGpop cut the straps, I pulled them out and got to building. It was so easy, I put the top on the legs with a little help from pop holding them up then added the benches on each side.

Step 2 makes cool products and everything just snapped together. After the benches were in place I pushed them down and I was ready for a test sit.

My picnic table even has an umbrella for when I take it outside! I can eat or color and keep the sun out of my eyes!

So my picnic table is perfect for a craft table too. I can sit and color while I’m watching my favorite show. When it is nice weather, pop will take my new table outside and I can have a picnic!

Since the people who have to stay in a nursing home can’t have visitors because of the virus, GGmama came up with a great idea. I could paint pictures and drop them off to the nursing home to make the people happy.

I got right on it and loved working on my table. To make the pictures look extra special I sprinkled glitter on them while the paint was still wet.

I had so much fun painting them that I even finger painted some!

GGmama said this painting looked like a bird, do you see it? The glitter is so pretty!

After the painting was done, we cleaned up the paint and let the pictures dry.

Since I am getting to be such a big girl, I don’t need my high chair anymore. I’m going to be 19 months old in 3 more days so I can eat at my table like a big girl!

But do you know what else I did this week? If you guessed baking you are right! Mama and I made a cake and I added sprinkles to the batter before baking it and GGpop loved it!

How do I get all the sprinkles off my hand when I’m done putting them on the cake? I eat the off!! YUMMM!!

While the cake was baking we also made some more cake mix cookies like I did last week. This time we made chocolate ones with a box of chocolate cake mix, 2 eggs and 1/2 cup of oil. That’s it and bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes.

I cracked the egg all by myself! After the dough was mixed, I dropped the dough into confectioners sugar and rolled them around until covered. Then I put them on a baking sheet to bake.

These cookies look so good, mama’s put them in the oven and I’m waiting for them to bake!

My cake and cookies were so good and I packed up a box to take home for mommy and daddy.

So you can see I’ve been quite busy but that’s a good thing, I love baking and doing crafts.

Since daddy’s college is closed due to the virus we went to Mama’s and pop’s yesterday and they had meatballs ready. They were so good, I cleaned my plate and eating at my new table was fun.

We all went outside to visit with the birds and see the beautiful flowers after dinner. The azalea bush is getting full of beautiful pink flowers and I love smelling them. I think my next big adventure will be getting the garden ready to plant!

Hope you enjoyed my Friday Story Time by Lia and hope you all stay safe. Until next time I’m going to keep spreading smiles and happiness to everyone.

Lia love to pick out her own clothes, I think she may become a fashion model Amanda. LOL The pink craft shirt is a size 10 tee shirt, I’m writing project dates on the back in fabric marker so when she’s done wearing it, I can make her a pillow from it! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend.

I love that little table of yours too…the flower is pretty just like you at the end…

Until next week’s storytime…have a GREAT weekend. Give your gma a great big hug…

Awww Nancy, Lia says thank you for visiting her story! I’m so happy she loves crafting and baking. She will have so many options when she gets older! You have a wonderful weekend too and make sure you rest up!

  3. Actually, Lia is the perfect carrier for the coronavirus. She will probably manifest no symptoms- and you won’t know you are at risk. Unless mommy is keeping her isolated from other children the rest of the week.
(Sorry to burst your bubble. But, these are the real facts to staying safe.)

Lia has been on “house arrest” since the onset of the virus at either her house or ours and she doesn’t even visit any other of her little friends. Her daddy is home since colleges are closed in SC and the only place they go is to the grocery store but Lia has been with us when they go shopping. I hope she’s not a carrier, we’re all doing as much as we can not to have contact with anyone. We don’t even have contact with our neighbors but that’s a good thing in more ways than just the virus. LOL Thanks for visiting Roy.
