Lia and her Harmonica
The UBC topic today is write about your favorite song. Since I’ve previously shared my favorites I thought it would be fun to show you Lia’s favorite type of music. (When she’s with mama and pop!) Lia loves Blue Grass and when we’re driving we have the Blue Grass blaring while Lia is in her car seat keeping the beat!

But she has another favorite of playing the harmonica. When Lia was younger I would play the harmonica then she would take it and hold it but couldn’t figure out how to make music so she would just hum. One day I was playing a video of the Harmonica Rascals doing their Slapstick Comedy routine, Lia picked up her harmonica and started copying them with their motions and playing on her own!

It is so cute to watch Lia play the harmonica and now that she has it down she serenades us often. I wonder if she will become a famous musician someday!
My Favorite Special Song
As for my favorite song that is so special, it would have to be the song played at our wedding 53 years ago and again at our 50th wedding anniversary. Ave Maria sung by Luciano Pavarotti was special to my hubby and me 53 years ago and still is today. http://themarthareview.com/favorite-song/
You know I would like this one – anything with music 🙂
What a cutie pie as usual!
Can you tell Lia is our pride and joy Paul? Someday she will be someone big and help change the world!
Samuel had an early love affair with the harmonica, too. Little kids and their music is so cute. What’s not to love about bluegrass… or Pavarotti?! 🙂
I love the harmonica Julie, I can play a few song just from guessing but just playing notes makes it’s own song. Lia was so excited when she started follow what the Harmonica Rascals were doing!
The harmonica is a creative and fun musical instrument for kids.Loved Lia’s favorites and your wedding photo looks beautiful.
I’ve always love the harmonica since I was young Dr. Amrita. It’s so much fun watching Lia learn new things while being creative.
What a sweetie she is and it’s great to encourage an interest in music in her.
I played flute and oboe in school band Virginia. Lia’s aunt received a college scholarship with her music! Maybe Lia will follow, either playing an instrument or singing since she loves both.
Your words about Lia in reply to Paul’s comments – so true!! And I have the same dream for my kiddos too…
Love watching Lia play.. music is a big thing in our home too with each of the other three playing an instrument ( i am the only one who doesn’t)
How wonderful that you have three playing instruments Vidya. They can put a mini concert on for you! I still have my oboe and flute from my high school years, maybe Lia will want to try those when she’s older.
I used to play the harmonica when I was little. I’m sure I still have one laying around my room somewhere. Keep practicing Lia.
WOW that’s neat Amanda. Go dig it out and start playing again! Lia loves playing tunes.
