Last Friday Story Time by Lia for the Month
I’ve had so much fun working on my blog stories for the January Ultimate Blog Challenge and now I’m already at the last Friday Story Time of the month! Today I’m sharing some of my activities from the past week.
I was asked by our blogger friend Ms. Alice if I would like to be a judge on the photos she posted for “Caption This Photo” contest. WOW, I’ve never been a judge but it sure was fun, mommy helped me read the captions and everyone had such fun ideas. The other day I got mail and it was a thank you card from Ms. Alice for being a great judge in her contest. Alice draws, paints, writes stories and blogs plus she even made the thank you card! Thank you Alice, Ma saves all my cards, letters and special things in a memory trunk and she said when I graduate from high school I can take it with me.
I was three years old when Alice drew one of her bears, as I looked at it I drew one to look almost like hers! Alice draws so good and I love drawing and hope I will be as good as she is when I get older. Ma and I did an interview with Alice about her bears and I even came up with the name of Berry Bear when we were picking strawberries because he had a red shirt.
I like to draw too, maybe I’ll make cards someday! This is a character I drew, he’s called Pomni from The Amazing Digital Circus on YouTube plus a few other cartoon drawings I make.
I also like to help decorate the bulletin board for the different seasons at our mail boxes where Ma and pop’s house is. Last week I added Valentine decorations and the Easter will be next!
Can you believe I’m half way through Kindergarten already! It seems like I just graduated from 4K and was walking through my big school on the first day. A few days ago we had 2nd quarter awards and these are the ones I received. Everyone is so proud of me.
This is my third year of participating in Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser. I haven’t had a bake sale yet but been baking cookies and brownies too surprise my friends when someone donates to my fundraiser. Our spring garage sale is coming up in April so I’m looking forward to baking a lot of cookies, brownies and doggy biscuits! I may even plan a Puppy Lick fundraiser painting party!
Ma made a book about the first year of my fundraiser and she made another for last year. The books will also go in my memory trunk. These are my links if you would like to follow me for the 2024 year. Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser or my Facebook Fundraiser page.
I stay busy with school, my cooking and baking, crafts and life but people ask if I ever have time to play. Yes I do play and my favorites are playing with my big doll house for Chelsea dolls and I also have Gabby’s doll house for tiny dolls. Last week Ma and I were playing with Chelsea and her friends had a pool party. I have to make sure I pick everything up when I’m done because Snowball likes to grab a shoe from the dolls!
Now it’s about time to get some gifts and cards made for Valentine’s day! Hope you all have a great next few months, I’ll be back in April for more blogs from Friday Story Time by Lia!
I love this. I love a good story. Your granddaughter is growing up way too fast.
Tell me about it Lisa! It seems like she was just 2 and now she’s 5 going on 15! LOL
Lia, I love your posts! How wonderful that you got to judge the contest and then got a card from Alice. I agree that she’s a great artist. But I love your artwork too. Hope you have a great couple of months, too. See you in April!
Lia says thank you Jeanine. She was so excited when she got Alice’s card. I save all her mailings, letters, pictures, etc. in a chest that belonged to my great grandfather. When she’s older she can go through her memory chest.
Good morning, Lia it’s hard to believe this is the last Friday of the challenge. You’ve been busy and I like the Valentine decorations. Good luck on the Fundraiser and congrats on all the awards. Have a good week and give Snowball a hug.
Lia says thank you Glenda. She had a great January challenge.
What a great blog, Lia.
Lia says thank you Amanda, she enjoys sharing her stories.
