June Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge
Last September Jeanine Byers and myself had a vision to start yet another blog challenge. The idea was to have it the month before the Ultimate Blog Challenge to get bloggers geared up and ready to begin writing for the upcoming challenge. We started with a few members and a list of topics for each day. It was exciting especially since the members were those that we had already known from the UBC. Our second Cornerstone challenge was in December 2020. Again we had a good turnout and the bloggers would be in gear for the January UBC. However in 2021 the host from the Ultimate Blog Challenge changed the schedule and started in February, then May. So that meant our challenge would now be the month after UBC so our third challenge was in March 2021. Again, the May UBC has just completed and it’s time for the June Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge!
I’m excited for Jeanine as she has been working on the Mindful Tea Society a membership community for women who are trying to lose weight and it’s going to be built around simple mindfulness techniques, tea breaks, self care rituals, and community support. Because she is putting in so much time and effort to get this off the ground I am taking over the June Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge. I’m sure we will see Jeanine popping in the challenge now and then and I wish her much success in her venture!
So on to my first blog for June! This challenge will be a bit different as we are writing without prompts, you can write about any topic you are interested in, whether it be your niche or just something off the wall to speak. We took a poll and the members decided doing three blogs per week would work better than trying to write everyday and get frustrated if they can’t complete them. So the challenge will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and I will post a thread each of these days and you can add you blog link there so all the blogs will be in one place. That way we won’t miss you blog!
Just because we are only writing three days per week that in no way means you can’t write everyday! Just post your blog and I’m sure you will get traffic! I’m excited to have three new members who joined us from the UBC. Our Cornerstone family is growing and I’m so happy to see new members!
Most of you know I love a challenge and in the last 14 months I have participated and completed 12 blog challenges and 1 de-clutter you mess challenge. The only month from April 2020 to April 2021 that I didn’t do a challenge was November 2020.
My co-partner and blogger, Lia will be sharing her Friday Story Time by Lia blogs and I have dubbed her our unofficial Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge mascot! For those who don’t know Lia, she is our 5th great grandchild and a bundle of smiles, compassion and love.
Lia is ‘lil Miss Sunshine, given that name by my blogger friend Brenda Fluharty and loves to share her smile and love to everyone who passes by. Another blogger friend had a contest to name her rooster picture in her kitchen and Lia won the contest. Can you guess what Lia suggested naming the rooster? If you guess Sunshine you are correct!
I’m so excited to start off the June Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge with my blogger friends, old and new! Get ready, set, go and BLOG ON!!
Hi Martha and Lia, so happy to see you in a new blog challenge! I can’t wait to see Lia’s new blog profile. Looking forward to this next month of community cornerstone blogging. Sending lots of love and gratitude!
