It’s Time to Get Moving!

Okay enough is enough!  Since July 2018 I’ve been writing blog updates on my healthy eating plan.  That’s 7 UBC months and while I’m happy that I’ve been able to change my eating habits drastically there is one problem. I keep saying I’m going to add an exercise routine but I fall short every time. I do exercise, I get in quite a bit of walking when out with hubby, granddaughter and great granddaughter, I stretch and bend constantly but it’s time to get moving and back in the routine I started in 2015.

I faithfully got on my cardio bike every other day, only doing about 10 minutes a day and gradually working up longer times and more strenous tension. I’d alternate the other days on the weight machine or band stretches. But when my granddaughter became ill and needed major surgery back in November 2016 we were making frequent trips to Ohio so my routine took a vacation. Once I break my routine I have one excuse over another as to when I’ll start back up. It’s always, “I’m starting tomorrow” but tomorrow never got here!! WELL IT’S TIME TO GET MOVING on my exercise routine NOW!

Oh wait, I first have to clean out my grandson’s room that has become a warehouse with some of the boxes from when we closed our shop in October 2018. I can’t even get to my buried cardio bike. Grandson is coming down to visit in April so I better get his room ready!   So my goal is to organize the room, pull out the bike and start like I did in 2015-2016. EDIT: Okay I found the buried bike and it won’t take anytime at all to put the boxes away. As I mentioned, I need to get the room ready for Zac when he visits from Indiana so there is no time like the present to get moving!

Lia doing arm and tummy muscles between benches at KFC! She doesn’t even mind working out with an audience cheering her on! LOL

I figure if 17 month old G-Granddaughter Lia can start her exercise routine anywhere, she can be my coach and role model to get things done!

So here is my goal…. re-organize the room, start my exercise routine to go along with my healthy living plan and checking back on my blog next week before the January challenge month ends with an update! Can I do it, can I get this one challenge that keeps getting pushed to back burner started and stick with it? I’ll give it my best so along with healthy eating I’ll have a healthy living plan!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

  1. Ok, first- I am not a fan of kids- I’m a dog person but cute kid…..and she proves you can workout whenever- wherever you are- good motivating- KUDOS! Second, my post today may give some ideas to start a yoga practice…..Feel free to share the links with others……as I have been thinking of the picture of my ideal reader/ audience- I keep thinking Betty White- Dog Companion. animal lover, fellow vegan- senior- and someone who may not be able to complete that ironman event- MAY!- I personally think she can but that’s another story! Hopefully, more videos of her are coming in the future! She’ll steal the attention of the blog- oh no, LOL!

  2. I swim pretty much every day. I ride my bike much less often than I used to do. (It used to be every day.) But, I do have an underdesk pedal system (which I also use in the evening as a balance-pedal system. And, of course, there are 13-15 steps between each of the floors here- so that’s at least 104 climbing steps a day.

Oh I just got an under the desk pedal system (for review). I could pedal away while blogging! Climbing is good exercise, that’s a lot of stops! We have 12 steps to our upstairs in the house so I couls run up and down 10 times a day! LOL

Good luck with your exercise routine! Maybe listening to your favorite music will help to motivate you to keep at it? Have fun while getting fit!

That’s a great idea Alice! I just got a set of headphones with AM/FM radio! That will certainly make the time go by! Thanks for the suggestion.
