It’s Time for the October Ultimate Blog Challenge!
Can you believe it’s October 1st already?? Yes it’s time for the October Ultimate Blog Challenge again! First let me welcome all my previous UBC blogging friends back to the challenge and welcome any new bloggers to this great challenge! I have had such an exciting blogging time since the July Ultimate Blog Challenge!
First I have to tell you that I have participated and completed SIX blog challenges in a row! The challenges I completed were the April UBC, the Song of the Day was in May, June was Color of the Day, July was the UBC again, August was the A to Z Food Challenge and the big one in September was the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge! One of my favorite blogs in this challenge was Lia’s Butterfly Release. She was so gentle with her butterflies!
I love a challenge and this is the first time I have ever completed six in a row! When I complete the October Ultimate Blog Challenge I will have completed SEVEN CHALLENGES IN A ROW and it will be FIVE YEARS of participating and completing this awesome challenge. In fact it was this challenge that got me hooked on blogging when I did my first UBC challenge in January 2016!
But I have to tell you about the September Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge. My blogger friend Jeanine Byers and I were chatting shortly after the July UBC ended about looking for a challenge to do in September so we could be more prepared for the Ultimate Blog Challenge the following month. Who would have thought that Jeanine and I would put together and host the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge! It was so great to host a challenge with Jeanine! One of the prompts was to write about something familiar. I wrote about how many of my blogger friends seemed like I’ve met them in person. Jeanine is one of them, it seems like we have met somewhere and when working on the challenge it was great to have such a wonderful friend and blogger as a partner. At the beginning of the challenge we posted the monthly list of prompts. Talk about a challenge, I must say some of the daily prompts were more of a challenge than we’ve ever had but we did it. Everyone had their own interpretation and ideas, that’s what the exciting part was.
We are looking forward to hosting this blog every September, December, March, and June to help bloggers get in the habit of writing every day to be prepared for the Ultimate Blog Challenge the month after each CCBC.
I have some surprise blogs coming up for this October challenge and so does Lia the Baby Blogger! Looking forward to reading and sharing all your blogs, that’s how our stats grow! Thanks to the UBC host, Paul T. for putting this challenge together and keeping us on track for another great blogging challenge!
I know you will finish the challenge. Seven 7 is our angel number. The angels say you will finish your seventh challenge in a row. Wow!!
Yes Brenda, that’s why I KNOW I will complete this challenge.
Good morning my dear friend. I look forward to seeing you and Lia posting this month but we need mommy to… Tell Rich good morning. C and I are off on a Road Trip for the day and I am so excited. I am Praying my knee will hold up. Have a beautiful day and make many new memories. I wish Lia was here I could use a Egg this morning.
Hi Glenda! Lia has so many blog ideas, she’s almost taken over my blog! LOL Mommy is busy and blogging has to come to her before she can write one. Hope you and C had a great road trip!
Its wonderful that you are completing the challenges. I am sure you have got a good response on your blog.
Thanks Bhawna, I love a challenge of any kind and once I start something I’m determined to complete it.
Blog writing is driving you, eh, Martha?
It’s driving me Roy but not sure where. LOL Thanks for visiting.
Can’t wait to read about Lia the Baby Blogger! I’m all for joining your “pre UBC” challenges too! π
We’d love to have you join in the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge and I like your “pre UBC’ title Angie! Can you send me a FB PM with your Facebook name and I will invite you to the group! Lia had her Friday Story Time by Lia but lately she’s been writing on other days so I think we need to just call it Story Time by Lia! Thanks for visiting and glad you joined in the challenge! My FB is Martha DeMeo!
Looking forward to having you join in the “pre UBC” challenge Angie. It was a great way to get ready for the UBC! I’ll be in touch with you in November with more information on the December challenge
I enjoyed the Create Cornerstone content Challenge a lot during September Martha.Especially about how to keep writing in chaotic times.Looking forward to your posts
I’m so glad you enjoyed the Cornerstone Challenge Amrita! Some of those prompts were quite a challenge but we did it!! Looking forward to the December challenge!
This is just a comment, please delete it!
Thanks Paul.
Lia is cute even though she’s not facing the camera this time. BTW, you and Jeanine also looks cool on the picture.
That is one of my favorite pictures when Lia was releasing her butterflies. As she set the house down she was talking to the butterflies. Thanks for visiting Jojo!
Martha, I am so grateful that you joined me in hosting September’s challenge! It has been wonderful to become friends with you, and now, I get to be a challenge host with you. Can’t wait for your October blogs. And Lia, who steals the show every time.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Cornerstone Challenge Jeanine! I’m glad we meet in the UBC and were able to pull a challenge off, we make a great team! Now to get going on the December challenge!
Wow, that’s a lot of challenges. I have been in a few of the Ultimate Blog Challenges over the years, I am not sure how many, perhaps 4. I get carried away with some of my hobbies at times and forget to write articles. I enjoy wood carving and making walking sticks, I love doing abstract art using multi-media and hiding a message or picture within the painting. Once I start one I get lost in time. Presently I am in two other challenges besides this, one is for each day of each of the four seasons, (that’s 365 days) the other is one art object per week for 52 weeks. So I will be sharing recipes and longevity Articles over the next 31 days, here but I might get a little behind from time to time.
WOW your other two challenges sound exciting Chef William! Tag me in the 52 week one if you think about it! Speaking of walking sticks, we went on a hike last week and Lia for the cutest little walking stick just her size!
I love reading your posts and look forward to what’s coming in this challenge.
Thanks Barb, I have some blog topics but Lia has even more! I love putting blogs together with her.
Martha, thank you, (and Jeanine) for thinking of other bloggers by adding a challenge in the βbetweenβ months. Iβm a bit of a hit-and-miss blogger who knows the value of getting into a writing habit – Iβm just not so good at the follow-through. Ah well, I guess if I only get to a couple of the challenges a year my writing will improve.
Thank you…
I hope you can join in our December Challenge with Jeanine and I. Even if you can’t complete it, it may help you with your hit and miss. Thanks for stopping by Maureen.
You have been one busy blogger for sure! Where do you even find these challenges? Clearly when you can’t find one you just make up your own!
You might say I’m addicted to blogging Nona! LOL Actually Glenda Cates, from the UBC and her son organized some challenges for his home school projects. Jeanine and I had a great time putting the Cornerstone Challenge together. Would love to have you join in on that challenge, the next one will be in December.
Martha, this is so exciting– to be back writing in the same blog challenge, and to hear about the challenge you and Jeanine created! And thanks for reminding me– I forgot to thank Paul for hosting, but you remembered. ππ»π Can’t wait to see what else you may share in your posts this month. And to hear more about the Cornerstone Challenge.
So happy to see you back in the UBC Kebba! Jeanine and I had a great time creating the new challenge and we’re hoping it helps bloggers get ready for the UBC each quarter. Would love to have you join us in December! I’ll be writing more information on the challenge before the month is over!
I truly loved the Cornerstone Content blogging challenge, even though I didn’t quite complete it! It gives me something to work toward in the future. I am happy and excited that we are all together again for this challenge, and that i get the opportunity to meet new and returning bloggers! Also, I am looking forward to more Story Time by Lia. She is quite a delightful little person.
I was excited when Jeanine and I put the challenge together and I’m so glad you and the others from UBC joined in. Hoping it helped everyone get a little head start on this challenge Alice and even though you missed a few, congratulations on getting as far as you did.
Martha, you’re a rock star! YEAH!!! And what you’re teaching Lia through your perseverance is priceless. Glad to be with you again. π
Awww thanks Lori. It’s so much fun teaching Lia because is loves to learn new things. She will have many more blogs this month! Glad to see you again also!
I’m excited to read more blog posts!
