It’s Time for Another UBC Again

It’s a new year and it’s time for another UBC again, time for the January 2026 Ultimate Blog Challenge! I’m back and hoping to complete the month, we shall see. Some days I have to push through but I give it my best. This is the 41st UBC I have participated in and I’m looking forward to renewing old blog friendships and welcoming new members!
For those who are new, the UBC is four times a year, January, April, July, and October where the challenge is to write a blog every day for each month. Paul our host sends out an email each night with a suggested topic but if you have your own idea, that’s fine. There are also “special days” that bloggers come up with. My blogger friend came up with Silly Saturday where you can post a silly story or photo. Then I came up with Spiritual Sunday plus we have Wordless Wednesday and Throwback Thursday. Most of my blogs are about my everyday happenings, many are about cooking and lots about decluttering and reorganizing tips since that is now my biggest challenge. I’ll give you a little hint, MY GARAGE IS ORGANIZED among other rooms.

My great granddaughter Lia takes her blog on Friday and it’s dubbed Friday Story Time by Lia. Can you believe she is SEVEN YEARS OLD already? I think we started this idea when she was THREE!! But since Lia and her mom moved to Indiana last year there are some Fridays when she is too busy so then I let my sweet pup Snowball take charge. We all need a little humor now and then and you will get some laughs when Snowball posts.
As always I like to start each blog challenge with a poem I wrote years ago:

The cool thing about this challenge is we have to read and leave a comment on at least the two blogs before your post but many to much more than two. Everyone has such interesting topics and it’s hard not to read them all! Plus this is a great way to increase your stats, so check them out at the beginning and then at the end of the challenge and see how they have increased.
I’d like to thank Paul for keeping this challenge going, I started in 2016 and he was involved way back then. So let’s all get busy and start tapping the keyboard so everyone can read your blogs!

Awesome to have you back, as usual, Martha! I hope this challenge is as good as the others for you!
Thanks Paul, even though there are times I say, I can’t do this, I turn my thoughts into I HAVE to do this for me and all my blogger friends!
Yay – glad to see toy here again, Martha and Lia!
And congratulations on your newly organized garage – that’s awesome!
Nadya
Happy New Year to you Nadya! I’ll always have some project going on here or there. Someone aske me what I will do when I’m all organized. I told her I’ll never be done, I can always find something to reorganize! LOL
Happy new year, Martha, Lia and Snowball! Looking forward to reading what you’ve been up to!
Hi Tamera, glad to see you back again and looking forward to see what’s happening in your side of the world!
Martha, yay! How wonderful to see you here again. And Lia– 7 years old??? She is certainly getting tall! Now, I am thrilled your garage is organized. Will we see before and after photos, I hope? My main rooms are beautiful, after these several years of work and redoing the tile floor, and I’m working on the other areas. Looking forward to seeing anything you may post this month. <3
Happy to see you back too Kebba! I love your new floor from your FB photos, absolutely gorgeous. Yes, I definitely be showing off my garage, even though it’s still a ways to go but much better than before!
Hi Martha. Glad to see you back. Time sure flies. Can’t believe Lia is 7. Things are changing faster than I can bat my eyes. So it is nice we still have the UBC to let off steam. Looking forward to your posts.
Yes Lily the time sure has gone by quickly and I’m so glad Lia started sharing her blogs when she was just a baby! You and I have so much in common in our blog stories, I love it!
I think that we started at about the same time. It’s amazing to think of how many Ultimate Blogging Challenges we have joined. When I first started, I had no idea what a blogging challenge was. It was originally going to be a one and done for me. But nine or ten years later, here I am, still blogging and still sharing stories. And still getting so excited to see Lia’s blog posts!
Yes I think we both joined near the same time. Who would have thought that after all these years we can still find something to write about Alice! LOL I’m so happy to have met you through the UBC!
Welcome back I look forward to your and Liia’s post but more than that Snowballs. Have a great week and a wonderful New Year I can’t wait to see where all it takes us.
I’m excited to be back also Glenda and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Let’s go Bonus Mom. You can do it. Crush those stats!
I’m hoping to Amanda! Just have to stay consistent!
