It’s That Time Again Already
Lia and I are so excited because it’s that time again already! It’s time for another Ultimate Blog Challenge! This July challenge will be fun to see the past participants again and welcome any new ones! First things first, l want to thank Paul, our gracious host for keeping this challenge going!
A little background on my blogging, I stated “steady” blogging in 2015 and stumbled onto the Ultimate Blog Challenge in January 2016. I’m the type that loves a challenge and once I start one, I don’t give up! It’s hard to believe that here I am in my 8th year of completing each quarterly challenge since I started. My four year old great granddaughter Lia Faith starting blogging when she was tiny, helping me with product reviews and now she has her own category on my blog, A Day in Lia’s Shoes and she shares her Friday Story Time by Lia during the challenge months!
July is full of happy days, Rich and I will celebrate our 56th wedding anniversary, Rich will celebrate his 77th birthday, and our grandson Zachary will celebrate is 25th birthday. We have one more celebration in July when Lia will graduate 4K on July 25th! So be sure to check out all our celebration blogs!
If you’re new to the challenge or want to find out more information about it, check out The Ultimate Blog Challenge site . The challenge is held each January, April, July, and October and it’s so exciting to read what all the other bloggers are blogging about! As for Lia and I we usually post about life styles and family. Lots of my blogs are on cooking quick, easy and healthy meals, gardening, and tips on de-cluttering. This has been a year to down size and get rid of things that aren’t needed. Since we are getting up in our years, it’s time to let things go to a new home and I’m packing boxes of memories that we will send to our 7 grandchildren. I can’t toss things but if they don’t want the memories, they can toss them! Lia’s blogs are about her baking, gardening, Lia’s Sunshine Bakery Alzheimer’s Fundraiser and anything else that pop’s in her head!
As always, I like to post this poem I wrote a few years ago to get you started on the challenge!
So for now, let’s all get busy and get this July Ultimate Blog Challenge under way! Don’t forget to view, comment, like and share other blogs and they will do the same. You’ll be amazed on much your stats will increase.

Thanks Brenda, same to you!
always wonderful to read your posts and definitely love having you as a fellow UBCer and a friend now..
Martha, welcome back to another UBC! I hope you’ll write more about your downsizing process. What questions do you ask yourself, to help decide what to let go of? (That could be a book!) Looing forward to reading your pieces this month!
Good question Kebba! I usually just start in whatever room and as I go through things I decide if it’s needed, can be donated to someone or if it’s time for the trash! The garage will be the biggest challenge but Rich will be helping toss lots of stuff!
