It’s About Me

It’s Friday Story Time by Lia again and today is the last Friday of the month for the UBC and it’s about me! Many of you have known me since I was a baby and I started blogging steady with ma when I was three years old. Now that there are new members I thought I’d share some of me adventures.

I have always love doing crafts, sewing and baking with ma. One of my favorite things to do on the computer is make posters on Canva. One time when I was playing around on Canva I made a poster that said, Lia’s Sunshine Studio for my paintings and drawings. I came up with the name sunshine because I like yellow and it’s a happy color. This is my garden sign I painted when I was four years old and ma, pop and I would have lunch next to my garden.

In the fall of 2021 when I was three years old, ma and I joined in the Alzheimer’s Fundraiser because my great, great grandma had Alzheimer’s. I never met her but ma always told me about how she also liked to bake so our fundraiser project was baking. I made my poster on Canva for Lia’s Sunshine Bakery fundraising projects.

When we baked cookies for my bake sales, my favorite was the Italian cookies with sprinkles but chocolate chip was my next best cookie.

I liked to go shopping for my baking supplies and Food Lion even gave me a gift certificate for them!

The first year I had one of my bake sales, my friend Carlos came over to help. Each year ma and I would add more bake goods and everyone loved them.

When I was five and in my third year of the fundraiser I added doggy biscuits to my sale and ma even added initials for Lia’s Sunshine Bakery.

Since I moved to Indiana last year, ma and I still have our fundraiser but ma is doing most of it. When I come visit I make up some cookies and have a little sale for our neighborhood. We’ve raised over $6000.00 for Alzheimer’s in the four years I had my Lia’s Sunshine Bakery fundraisers.

I love my neighbor Judy and she would always help out at my sales. This was my sale in 2024 at our community garage sale. Judy and I were making funny faces near the end of the sale. I think we were getting tired because we were both laughing and getting silly.

So that’s it about me from when I was three and now I’m seven, going to be eight in August. This is my mommy and me when we went to a fall festival in Indiana last October 2025. I hope you enjoyed my Friday Story Time by Lia blog this week!

Thank you for reading my blog and I’ll see you all in the April Ultimate Blog Challenge and I may even make a trip back to South Carolina on one of my school vacations!
