It’s a SCAM
“You must share this post in 5 groups and make sure to mention 5 of your friends!” If you see a post that has something like this in a post, there is a good chance it’s a scam!
It seems like during the holiday season so many scams come out of the woodwork! When I see a post on social media that looks too good to be true, I figure there’s a good chance it’s a scam. Before I reply or share the post I do my homework and check in out.
This is what happened when I saw a post from my FB friend, I was 99% sure it was a scam. The first thing you have to check out is the name. Usually they use the same company name but change the ending or add an extra letter to the spelling. The latest one I found going around looks like it comes from Outback Steakhouse but it’s not! They added USA after the name and the real page has National at the end.

While we all would love to win “that big one” please check all contests out before entering them because there could be a chance it’s a scam.
Oh, I hate those scamming scammers! LOL. I have unsuspectingly clicked on scam links that seemed all too real, and then had to scramble to change passwords and alert my bank. Good to know you caught one. Thanks for letting us know!
I keep thinking if they put more energy in doing good things, everyone would be better off! Gotta be careful when we see a post too good to be true Jeanine!
That’s crucial information. Even I have done the sharing to 5 group thing.Helpful reminder
I think once someone gets unsuspectedly caught in a scam, they won’t do it again. Thanks for stopping by Amrita!
Great share!
Thanks Roy, I hope my reminders help a few readers.
Thanks for the warning! I never do any of those because I hate when folks tag me for things like that. But a lot of people fall for it so it’s good to keep warning people!
Same with those that share messages on FB, it’s just a scam more times than not! Good going Dominique to not fall for them!
Thanks for the warning. I’ve seen these kinds of posts before and I try to stay clear of them.
I hope I can save at least a few from getting caught up in a scam Amanda!
