In the Garden on Spiritual Sunday
Last week I came up with the idea of Spiritual Sunday and I shared photos to reflect our blessings. Spiritual does not mean you have to be religious, it can include meditation, mindfulness, and prayer.
I love going out to Mom’s Memory Garden to meditate and pray. It’s quiet and peaceful with the birds chirping and it’s the perfect way to start my day.
I can feel my mom’s presence and there are times I even see a butterfly or cardinal that tells me mom is near.
Mom loved flowers and her memory garden is filled with beautiful flowers and Angels. This is the largest Angel, she stands over three feet tall and Lia found this tiny angel, it’s about three inches tall. Tomorrow will be my mom’s 24th anniversary of her death and her garden is the perfect place to spend my Spiritual Sunday.

This is one of my favorite songs sung by Jim Reeves that comes to me when I’m in Mom’s Memory Garden. May you all have a beautiful day and a blessed week.
I love sitting out in the Garden which is my back porch now that were in the townhome but with it getting cold David turned a corner of the living room into a garden and reading spot for me. Along with a spot in the dinning room so when we eat we have flowers to look at. I enjoyed the song you shared with us I listened to it as I read your post. I like you doing a Spiritual Sunday post I do Motivational Sunday’s and share a quote for the week.
How cool that David turned a corner of your room into a garden Glenda! Something about a garden anywhere, it brings peace and comfort.
What a wonderful post, Martha 💖 The pictures, the music, the angel, the flowers, the birds, the atmosphere, all very serene.
24 years sounds like a long time, but then again, the year 2000 sort of only just began? Your garden definitely makes time insignificant.
Thank you Tamara, our gardens and Angels are so beautiful.
Martha, I love your Spiritual Sundays! If we even stop for a moment to appreciate a blossom or ponder one of those angel statues, that is a spiritual moment and counts as a prayer– of appreciation, of gratitude, of praise.
So many things to appreciate and know God is with us Kebba.
What great photos. Happy late Sunday.
Happy Sunday to you too Amanda.
