I’m Taking a Break
For the past 15 months I have participated and completed 13 blog challenges plus a De-Stress your Mess Challenge this past January. I love challenges but for the month of July I’m taking a break. I’m not totally stopping my blogging but I have other priorities in July. Come August I’ll be back to the Ultimate Blog Challenge!
The one thing I’m planning on doing in July is reading so that is sort of a challenge since I haven’t read a complete book in some time. It’s also our 54th wedding anniversary on July 29th so Rich and I along with Alex and Lia are hoping to sneak away to the mountains for a few days. Since Rich’s birthday is July 31st, it will be a double celebration. The other excitement in July will be a few Staycations with Lia. Alex went to Indiana to visit her brother and sister so we have three weeks to find some find fun things to do and places to go. We are also in the planning stages of Lia’s 3rd birthday party on August 23rd. Yes Lia will be THREE YEARS OLD, how did she grow up so fast!! Don’t forgot she has a surprise with her blog category in August!
Kebba Buckley Button
As for my reading, back in the Ultimate Blog Challenge one of my blogger friends had a contest to name a rooster picture she had in her kitchen. The winner would receive three of the books she has written. I showed the picture to Lia and asked her what a good name would be. She looked at it, smiled and said, “I like Sunshine and the rooster looks happy like the sun!” Well it just so happened that her rooster name won the contest and I received three lovely books from Kebba. https://kebbabutton.wordpress.com/2021/05/15/healthy-happy-loving-life-results-of-the-rooster-naming

I’m looking forward to reading the three books I received for Lia naming the Rooster! The first one is ‘Sacred Meditation’ which is filled with meaningful quotes that will help find and deepen inner peace. This would be a good book to read a few pages each night or morning.
The ‘Secret Energized You’ looks like a very interesting book about stress management, fueling your fatigue and manage your energy, not your stress are chapters that I need to check out!
We all could use ‘Peace Within’ us and this is another book loaded with helpful quotes and a loving message of hope that inner serenity is attainable in the most challenging moments. This book will definitely be on my night stand.
Kebba even wrote a message to Lia in each book and signed them! Since Lia won them for picking the winning Rooster name, I plan to “borrow” them from her and when she’s older I will gave them to her to read and cherish. Thank you Kebba for these wonderful books! Andrew J. Mellen
Another book I plan to read in July is UNSTUFF YOUR LIFE!! by Andrew J. Mellen. Andrew was the host for the De-Stress your Mess Challenge in January and I was able to declutter, reorganize and get rid of so much unneeded “stuff” through his free 5 day challenge. Since I live for a challenge this was right up my alley! I did an interview about this program and was pleasantly surprised when I received a copy of Andrew’s book to kick the clutter habit and completely organize your life. I have a great start from the 5 day program and I went room by room to achieve the look I’ve been hoping for. You can check out the FREE 5-Day De-Stress Your Mess program Andrew gave in April and check on when his next class will be. Thank you Andrew and Kevin for this book, I will be reading it over and over!
So while I’ll be taking a break from every day blogging to catch up on some reading, you will still see a few blogs from me and of course Lia will have her Friday Story Time by Lia blogs. I’m looking forward to my July to see where it takes Lia and me.
Enjoy every minute. Happy Anniversary, happy vacation and happy reading. I look forward to reading your blog again in August.
