I’m Another Year Older

Hi, it’s Lia from Friday Story Time by Lia and I’m another year older than I was in the July challenge. What a busy summer I had and it went by so quickly! Some of you may know that mommy and I moved to Indiana the end of March and I only had three weeks left of 1st grade when we got there. Then we came back to South Carolina to visit in June, July and August for two weeks each time.

On my last visit I helped ma plant a flower that daddy gave her along with a blue flower pot for Pop’s birthday. Pop was a LA Dodger fan and daddy picked a flower pot to match the team colors. Of course Snowball had to help too. We put the flower pot next to Pop’s memory garden and the tiny purplish, blue flowers attract lots of butterflies.

My birthday was August 23rd but I had two early parties while in South Carolina. One was at Ma’s house with my best friend from school and the other was with daddy, grandma, grandpa and Aunt Jasmine.

When I got back to Indiana I had another party on my birthday when I turned 7 years old with Mommy and Uncle Zac. That was a lot of parties and lots of cake!!

School started back on August 12th when I was 6 but 11 days later I turned 7 years old. I’m now in 2nd grade and it’s so fun because a few of my 1st grade friends are in my 2nd grade class. I’m reading lots of books and learning cursive. On weekends I get to go to work with Uncle Zac and help him detail the cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Well it’s time to get ready for school, hope you all have a fun weekend like I will be having. See you next time on Friday Story Time by Lia.
