Hot Cocoa on a Cold Day
It’s WORDLESS WEDNESDAY and I’m sharing some photos to help you warm up if you live in an area that has cold weather. We live in South Carolina and it was 32 degrees when we checked the thermometer this morning! Today I’m sharing hot cocoa on a cold day and I will share my secret recipe with you tomorrow!
Do any of these hot cocoa creations make you drool? Let me know and I’ll share my secret recipe in tomorrow’s blog!
Life is funny Charlie used to only drink Hot Chocolate once in a while but this year David and I’ve made more Hot Chocolate for C than we have in his entire life. At all times of the day from early morning to midnight before bed. The funny part is if C has a glass then he thinks I need one to and who can turn down Hot Chocolate. Not me. Have a good day and I can’t wait to see your recipe tomorrow. Thanks for being a part of #BlogBoost #UBC
That’s sweet for C to get you some hot cocoa too Glenda! The recipes are posted!
I am late to the party but loved this.I want all the recipes but the last one is a must !A very Happy New Year to You and your family Martha .
You got it Amrita! I put that recipe in my Hot Cocoa Recipes blog!
I haven’t had hot cocoa in at least a decade. I should make some and get reacquainted.
Yes Roy, you need to get your taste buds ready for a delicious cup of hot cocoa!
I never thought to top my cocoa with jam! I can’t wait to make cocoa later!
There are so many different ideas for topping Kimberly. I love the hint of raspberry this one gives the cocoa.
Hoot chocolate – perfect for a cold winter day! Or any day. 🙂 I’m looking forward to your recipe tomorrow.
It’s been chilly in SC Jeanine and hot cocoa hits the spot! However I could drink hot cocoa in any weather.
Martha, ooooo! It was 39 degrees as I drove to my 7 am doctor appointment this morning. I even remembered to take my gloves and wear them! I have been craving hot chocolate all day but haven’t quite got there. Your images are gorgeous and inspiring. My late older sister had a recipe for instant hot chocolate: dried milk, Hershey cocoa powder, sugar. Shake it in a jar with a wide cap and use whenever. Next time I see the proportions, I will share. It was delicious!
I’ve read about the hot chocolate in a jar Kebba! I’ll have to give that mix a try, it would be great to give as gifts!
I will have the mint one that is my favorite. The weather was the same here in New Jersey and I had mint coffee with a mix of coco and whipped cream.
Oh Brenda mint coffee with cocoa sounds good! I don’t drink coffee but may have to try adding a bit to my cocoa!
I prefer to consume my calories as cake or cookies, so I am perfectly fine just looking at your hot cocoa creation without the feeling of missing out. They do look pretty! My favorite is the unicorn variety.
I’m with you on that Tamara! LOL But what you didn’t see in my photos are the pieces of chocolate cake, pile of cookies or donuts!
Hot cocoa is the best. I got some hot chocolate bombs for Christmas.
Lia and I made some hot chocolate bombs Amanda! They didn’t look as perfect as the picture but sure tasted good. They were loaded with cocoa powder, mini marshmallows and peppermint chips!
