H is For Happiness
H is For Happiness
Today is the eighth day of the A to Z April Blog Challenge and what a better H word than H is For Happiness. Have you ever seen someone a bit down but if you smile and say a kind word to them they smile back with a happy look on their face? Sometimes people get so busy they forget to take time for happiness. Happiness can also be contentment. People go through tough times in their life and get down, thinking they will never be happy again.
But happiness is something that will change your attitude, your mind set and your overall well being. When you are in a bad situation and are finally set free, you have happiness. Have you heard the statement, “Money can’t buy happiness”? Some people think if they have money, they will be happy. There are many forms of happiness.
Seeing someone special or someone you haven’t seen in awhile can bring a person joy and happiness, getting good news from a doctor will also bring happiness.
Even when you see someone laughing and having a good time, that can bring happiness, know that they too are happy. When I look at this photo of my daughter, her two youngest children and her youngest grand baby all laughing and having a good time, it makes me happy.
I found true happiness over 50 years ago on Christmas day 1965 when I met my now hubby on a blind date. Happiness is something you don’t always see but feel inside your heart. The United Nations declared 20 March the International Day of Happiness to recognize the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals. So many things can make a person have happiness in their life. What brings you happiness?
I hope you are enjoying my alphabet blog for the A to Z April Blog Challenge The challenge is to write a blog starting with the first letter of the alphabet on day one and continue through the month every day except Sunday. Yesterday my blog was G is for Grandchildren where I wrote about my seven wonderful grand children. There are just the right number of letters as the number of days in the month, not counting Sunday. So Monday I will blog about the next letter. See you Monday!
Another great blog challenge is the Ultimate Blog Challenge . The challenge is to write a blog a day for the month of April.
You are right that money can’t buy happiness but at least you can be miserable in comfort! 🙂
Yes we can! While it can’t buy happiness, it sure would put a smile on lots of faces if I had some! LOL Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.
I love thinking about happiness! And it was great to see all your happy family pictures. You’re so right, that being with family, and seeing them happy, can create moments of happiness.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Family makes me happy. Money can ensure a have a better standard of living. But can’t promise happiness.
That is so true Sandy! I love my family but many are scattered through out different states. I’m super happy when we go visit or they come to visit! Thanks for stopping by.
I think that too many people chase one thing or another that they hope will make them happy. The trick is to find happiness in what you already have, which is easier said than done, of course 🙂
That is so true Dermot! But like you said, sometimes it’s easier said than done. Thanks for stopping by!
