Great Great Grandmother’s Tea Set
WOW how did Friday Story Time by Lia get here so quick, it seems like I just wrote about my visit to the dentist! Today I’m sharing something so very special, my great great grandmother’s tea set! My great great grandmother played with this tea set when she was a little girl and it’s over 90 years old. Ma’s sister Anne was caring for it for many years and she sent this special gift to me since she knows I love tea parties!
Anne even wrote a note telling me a little about the beautiful tea set! I won’t be using it for everyday tea parties, just special ones because I don’t want anything to happen to it. I can even pass it down to future generations when I get older and have a family.
I love getting packages and I was excited when I saw my latest package. I opened it very carefully and Anne had all the cups, saucers, plates and tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl all carefully wrapped up in bubble wrap. Piece by piece I opened them. They are so beautiful, white china with gold trim!
My first tea party was with my Birthday bear, He was so happy to join me and he didn’t spill any tea!
While my Birthday bear was having tea, Pikachu decided to join in along with my Strawberry Barbie bear and my 2020 Christmas bear. I can’t wait for my friend Judy to come over for tea and cookies!
This morning when I woke up, I had to check my great great grandma’s tea set again to make sure I wasn’t dreaming last night. I had another tea party with the Christmas Angel bear under my Christmas tree! I’m so happy that Anne sent me this beautiful tea set to cherish and pass on for many more generations.
This is my great great grandmother and great great grandfather, both died before I was born but Ma has told me so many wonderful things about them. Now I have a part of her with me!
How lovely! It’s great that it has lasted so long. My kids would have destroyed such a lovely tea set! I hope Lia enjoys it for years to come!
I remember when I was younger my mom had the tea set in a little cabinet then my sister ended up with it. I’m so happy that Anne gifted this beautiful tea set to Lia so she can have tea parties and then pass it down to future generations.
Such a sweet post. I’m glad Lia enjoyed her tea party.
Lia loves having tea parties! If not with humans, she’ll have a teddy bear tea party! When she’s older I’ll tell her again about how hold this tea set is.
