Grandchildren’s 2016 Milestone Year
I have seven grandchildren and each one had something eventful this year. It’s exciting to tell you about my Grandchildren’s 2016 Milestone Year. (Okay, most of my steady readers know I love to brag about the grands but that is what grandma’s are suppose to do)
Starting with the oldest, our 28 year old grandson CJ got married this past August to the most beautiful young lady! So when I said I have seven grandchildren, I actually now have eight, counting my new granddaughter!
My next oldest, Desiree, got engaged to be married! Her wedding is planned for next summer so we’re looking forward to her milestone.
CJ’s and Desiree sister, Allison had a super milestone year. First she had an adorable baby boy on September 28, and she turned 25 years old on October 9th. She’s a quarter century now!
Their little brother, Danny’s big milestone was turning 21 years old. Of course he is from little, he stands over six feet tall!
This picture of Desi, CJ, Danny, and Alli was taken this past August at CJ’s wedding. When they live in different states it’s hard to get them all together for a photo, but I love this one!
A few more age milestones in one family for my next three grandchildren.
Alexandra’s big milestone was turning 20 years old this past March. She will be having major surgery in a few weeks and that’s not a milestone that is happy, but hubby and I will be with her.
Alexandra’s little brother, Zachary had some exciting milestones. First he graduated from high school, he turned 18 years old in July, and started college in August. Again, while Zac is Alexandra’s little brother, he too is far from little!
Alexandra and Zac hadn’t seen each other for almost a year and Zac was so excited to see she came from Ohio to his high school graduation.
Their baby sister Trinity also had a milestone when she became a teenager this month. Trinity turned 13 years old last week. Hard to believe that she will be going into high school in the fall!
So out of seven grandchildren, each one had their on special milestone in 2016. I didn’t realize all these great events were in the same year until I started thinking about them. I am so proud of all of my grandchildren and their accomplishments and can’t wait to see what else is in store for all of them.

Grands are great, but mine live thousands of miles away. I get to see them once a year if I’m lucky, and they’re 8 and 5. But thanks to the electronic age, I’m kept up to date with pictures and videos of milestones and silly things… lol My own kiddos, 37, 35, 26 & 23 are still enjoying milestones of their own, so I’m still enjoying them too!
It’s hard when they live far away, but like you mentioned, thanks to electronics, we can keep up with them. Three of ours are in NY, 2 in Indiana, 1 in Ohio and 1 in South Carolina where we are. We also have 4 great grand babies, so the milestones will continue for many more years. I’ll have to share your Christmas Card making blog with them! Thanks for visiting Jane.
Very nice post! You have a lovely family. It’s so difficult living far away from your children let alone your grandchildren. I only have one at present and he just turned 6. It broke my heart when I called him and he asked where I was. This is the first birthday I have ever missed and will miss many more since I moved out of the country! very sad indeed!
Oh gosh, out of the country! But on the bright side, with computers and video calling, hopefully you will keep in touch. It’s hard when they are living every where, but we still having bragging rights! Happy Birthday to you little guy! Thanks for stopping by Tina and Jimmy.
Awe, what beautiful grand children you have! I myself have 9 with one on the way, so I understand how proud of them you can be! 4 of mine will be here this weekend, so you can count on some adorable pics from me all over my social media this weekend!!! Thanks for sharing with us!
