Got A Question?

We are just about half way through the July Ultimate Blog Challenge and so far I’ve been able to stay on track with posting, reading and commenting on others bogs AND keeping up with replying to comments left on my blog!! That alone is a major accomplishment for me. Today’s suggested topic is to ASK ME ANYTHING where you might want to learn more about something either Lia or I do. Got a question, I’m ready to answer it!

Lia and I share the same interests and she has loved sewing with me since she was very young. I made a Minky blanket when she was born and that was also the day Mama’s Minky’s was born! Lia has been our quality control inspector since she has been a year old! A year later she graduated to helping me sew them.

As Lia got older she wanted to spend more time sewing and even cutting out the Minky blankets. She even designed a doggy bone and wrote BELLA on it for a personalized doggy Minky! Yes even our Minky blankets have gone to the dogs!

Gardening is another project Lia and I share a love for. She was picking lettuce when she was about nine months old. We have a vegetable garden every year and as Lia gets older she enjoys doing more in the garden.

Even before Lia learned to walk, she was helping make cookies! This makes me so happy because it brings back memories when I was young and helped bake with my grandmother!

So whether it’s sewing, gardening, baking, cooking, crafts or just being together, these are some of things we love to do together. Still got a question for either of us, we’re ready to answer! Have a wonderful weekend!

My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

  1. No question, just an observation. You and your family are blessed! So lovely to see.

  2. Dominique says:

Lia, are you excited about starting kindergarten? What are you looking forward to most?

I think your Friday blog posts will be filled with your adventures at school!

Have a beautiful weekend, both of you!

Lia says, thank you for reading her Friday Story Times Dominque. She said she most excited about starting kindergarten is to see if any of her classmates from 4K will be with her. A few more weeks and she’ll find out!

  3. I’m so glad you offered, and I do have a question. Is that a permanent tattoo on Lia’s arm? Have a great weekend!

    • Martha says:

Hi Jeanine, no this is just a water soluble tattoo! When she Lia’s gets a bit anxious her mommy tells her to just breathe. She just happened to find this tattoo! Maybe when she’s 21 she will get a real one. Thanks for visiting.

  4. Tamara says:

Isn’t Lia just a ray of sunshine – I am curious what she is going to do in the near and further out future. Either way, the bond between the two of you will remain strong, that much is certain.

    • Martha says:

Indeed Lia is a ray of sunshine Tamara and she loves sharing that with everyone. As of now Lia says she wants to be a doctor or nurse but that might change. I think she should open a bakery or restaurant!

  5. Martha, how delightful! You and Lia are interested in many of the same things I am! So tell me, (1) when you and Lia are both in the picture, is Snowball taking the picture, or who is? (2) When you are baking cookies, what is your favorite method to keep them from sticking?

    • Martha says:

I love how Lia and I do so much together, we aren’t just making cookies or Minky blankets, we are making memories. When we’re both in the picture Rich takes the photos or they are selfies. Lia actually takes great selfies! LOLTo keep cookies from sticking, when totally cool, we use parchment paper between the layers. Once frosted, her Italian cookies don’t stick. Chocolate chip cookies never seem to stick, we store those in ziplock baggies. If there are any left! LOL
