Glazed Carrots
I came up with a quick and easy recipe for glazed carrots and they are delicious! My entire dinner for two cost less than $7.00 which included T-Bone steak on sale for $3.99 per pound and baked potato.
I started with some mini carrots and cut in small slices. Boil them in water until tender.
Melt a tablespoon of butter in a frying pan, after melted add a tablespoon of dark brown sugar and stir until mixed with the butter. Drain the cooked carrots and add to the butter and sugar mixture, tossing around to coat them.
Depending on how brown you want the carrots will determine how long to keep them in the butter/sugar mixture, I let then simmer for about 5 minutes while getting the steak and potato on the plates. Just another quick, easy and delicious meal!

Yes they were Rich! Glad you liked them.
I use margarine and add sweet potatoes to the mix.
Margarine works Roy, and I love sweet potatoes also, I make a glaze the same way for them.

They are delicious, aren’t they Amanda! Plus we’ll get sparkley eyes by eating carrots. At least that’s what my mom would tell me when I was young!
Candied carrots are a great side! I’ve started using honey instead of sugar. It’s a great natural substitution.
Oh yes, I love honey too, don’t know why I didn’t think of that for my glaze! I’ll try that the next time! Thanks for the tip Carrie!
