Friday the 13th
Yes, today is Friday the 13th but I’m not superstitious, in fact the number 13 is one of my lucky numbers. We live in a tourist town and some of the high rise condos skip the 13th floor! It’s seem strange to be in the elevator and be in the 12th floor and the next step is the 14th floor. But to some, they are superstitious and I’ve heard some don’t even leave the house when the 13th falls on a Friday! So how did you spend your Friday the 13th?
Today is also my youngest twin granddaughter’s 14th birthday. Here older twin was born 7 1/2 years before she was born but they are doubles in looks, actions and brains. When I was going through some photos when they were both younger, I had a picture of both of the “twins” in LA Dodger hats and I had to study them to make sure I had who’s who correct. I posted the picture of Trinity, the birthday girl and her older sister, Alexandra questioned if I was sure that was her. I wasn’t really sure until I studied the picture and saw it was taken in our new home that we moved into when Alexandra was about 4 years old. The baby in the picture was only about a year old, so case solved, it was definitely Trinity.
Alexandra calls Trinity her mini-me, they are so much alike! This picture was taken about 5 years ago when Trin loved to dress like Alex.
Time goes by, things change but I’m so glad these two are close even when they aren’t together.
You might like to read a poem I wrote when Trinity was about 8 years old. http://themarthareview.com/waiting-at-the-window/
Happy 14th Birthday on Friday the 13th Trinity, Papa and I will always love you.

Nice story, beautiful pictures. I had a good day today. I planted a row of rose of sharon bushes, and I went to the fire company’s open house. I was happy not to have any bad luck today, unlike eleven years ago, when Friday the Thirteenth was the day that I discovered that, after a freak snowstorm that resulted in 24 inches of snow in 24 hours, I was housesitting that weekend and I woke up on Friday the Thirteenth to no electricity and a tree that had fallen on all of the power lines. I covered up the birds and wandered the house in a blanket. That was definitely a bad luck experience!!!
Oh my, this Friday the 13th sounds much better for you! How I remember those freak snowstorms when we use to live in upstate NY! I can wait to see pictures of your Rose of Sharon bushes next year! Thanks for stopping by Alice.
