Friday Story Time by Lia and My Christmas Vacation

Hi, I’m back with Friday Story Time by Lia and my Christmas Vacation. Mommy and I moved to Indiana last March to be with my Uncle Zac and I love it there. But I’ve been in South Carolina spending time with daddy, my grandma and grandpa plus Ma for the past two weeks.

Advent Wreath

Last Sunday I went to church with Ma and the Priest wanted Ma and me to light the last Advent candle. The three already lit were Joy, Hope and Peace and we lit the candle for Love. After the Mass was over Ma took my picture looking at the candles.

My New Room

I was so excited when I saw my new room that Ma decorated for me. When I left it was teal but she painted it gray and I love it with my light purple, teal and pink comforter set. Snowball was so happy to see me and he looks just like one of my stuffed animals.

Cookie Baking Time

Most of my blogging friends know I love to bake and that’s what I did a few days before Christmas with Ma and our friend Judy. I love when Judy comes over because we have fun decorating the cookies. We made my favorite Italian cookies and added different sprinkles plus gold dust! That made them so shiny. We made cookie boxes up for some of the neighbors and I took a cookie jar filled with them for grandma and grandpa on Christmas day.

So this is the beginning of my vacation, I’ll be back next week with more of my fun trip!

Lia, it’s lovely to read from you again. You taught me something new. Around here (I live in Switzerland) we don’t have name for the candles on our advent wreaths. “Peace”, “Joy”, “Hope” and “Love” are such powerful names / themes, and I love that you got to lit LOVE.
Your room looks great, and so do the cookies. Enjoy your xmas break and happy new year!

Thanks Glenda, it was quite a surprise to be asked to light the candle and what better one than LOVE. Lia says thank you and she loves her new room!

  5. So glad that you are having fun, Lia. Those cookies look amazing. I had a friend bake Matt and I some chocolate kisses cookies. Those brought back so many memories of when my mom made these cookies for me when I was a kid.
